A punter, Simonhoff is the only player in SEMO football history to be a three-time All-American. He led SEMO and the OVC in punting three-straight seasons. Simonhoff was named First-Team All-OVC in 2004, 2005 and 2006. He won OVC Player of the Week a total of 12 times and was National Player of the Week on four occasions in his career. He is among SEMO's career leaders in punting average (1st, 43.89), punting yards (2nd, 10,402) and punt attempts (2nd, 237). Simonhoff holds the school's all-time single-season record in punting average with 46 yards per punt in 2004. He finished second in the Football Championship Subdivision in punting in 2006 (44.8 ypp), fifth in 2005 (42.8 ypp) and second in 2004 (46 ypp). Simonhoff's 46 yards per punt in 2004 marked an OVC single-season record, as well. Additionally, he has nine of the longest punts in SEMO history, including a school record 83 yard punt in 2003.
