An All-American and the 2001 Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year, second baseman Clemente Bonilla led the nation and
broke SEMO’s all-time career record in walks that season. Bonilla was a First-Team All-OVC honoree in 2001 and a Second-Team selection in 2002. He ranked among his program’s career leaders in at-bats (t8th, 686), runs (5th, 172), hits (10th, 212), doubles (t4th, 59), walks (1st, 207), on-base percentage (4th, .472) and stolen bases (t10th, 34).Â
