Mission
The Holcomb Success Center staff strives to create an environment which is conducive to the growth and enhancement of the student-athlete's academic, personal and social growth. We work to meet the total needs of the student-athletes and their well-being, and assist them in achieving their academic goals.

Services
SOAR Program
SOAR (Students Owning Academic Responsibility) provides additional support for the student-athletes whose grade point average places them at risk for maintaining eligibility. Academic Coordinators monitor academic progress and oversee required study hall hours.
Study Hall
Monitored, quiet space available to student-athletes in the Success Center. Students are encouraged to work independently or with tutors/mentors. Study hall is a requirement for those students in the SOAR program, as well as select upperclassmen.
Tutoring
Free and available to all student-athletes upon request. Content tutoring provides student-athletes assistance in many subject areas.
Mentoring
Free and available to all student-athletes upon request. Provides student-athletes with a structured learning program, focusing on time management, organizational skills, and individualized learning strategies.
Redhawks BRIDGE Program
Provides student-athletes with leadership and life skills experiences through interactive programming that will prepare each student for success in life after athletics. Find more information Click Here
Enrichment
A transition program for all freshmen and transfer student-athletes is offered during fall, spring and summer sessions. Participants "Earn Their Wings" by covering topics to familiarize them with campus resources, college life, and other skills. Speakers include representatives from Career Services, Financial Aid, Student Life, Public Safety, Student Affairs, Counseling and Disability Services, Testing Services, Athletic Training, Strength & Conditioning/Nutrition and Faculty Mentorship.
