2000-2003
Emily Scannell earned multiple All-Ohio Valley Conference honors during her four-year volleyball career. Scannell began her college career by claiming the Southeast Missouri volleyball program’s first OVC Freshman of the Year honor in 2000. After earning Second-Team All-OVC accolades as a sophomore, she closed out her career as a First-Team All-OVC selection in 2002 and 2003. A setter, Scannell led the Redhawks to 23 wins and a perfect 16-0 record in conference play during her freshman campaign. That 2000 team, which is in the SEMO Athletics Hall of Fame, also won the OVC Tournament and is the only team in program history to advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. To this day, Scannell holds SEMO’s all-time career record in assists. She was named to the OVC 75th Anniversary Volleyball Team.
