Rippelmeyer earned First-Team All-Conference accolades as a junior and senior. He established a single-game scoring record of 30 points as a junior and a single-season scoring record of 330 points as a senior. Rippelmeyer spent 50-plus years in professional baseball as a manager and pitching coach.
