ROWDY’S READERS
Read with Rowdy. Cheer with the Redhawks.
Rowdy’s Readers is a reading incentive program from Southeast Missouri State Athletics designed to encourage young Redhawks to read, achieve their goals and connect with SEMO Athletics.
Open to Pre-K through 8th grade students at participating schools throughout Southeast Missouri, Rowdy’s Readers turns reading accomplishments into Redhawk experiences, prizes and more!

Participating is easy:
1. READ
Read the required number of grade-level appropriate books.
2. SUBMIT
Have a parent, guardian or teacher submit your completed books through the Rowdy’s Readers online form.
3. GET REWARDED
Complete your reading goal to unlock SEMO Athletics rewards, ticket opportunities and exclusive Redhawks experiences!
Reading begins August 1, 2026, and submissions are accepted through February 1, 2027. Completed books can be submitted using the link below!

FOR TEACHERS & SCHOOLS
Schools interested in participating in Rowdy’s Readers should designate one staff member as their Rowdy’s Readers Coordinator.
Your coordinator will serve as the primary contact between your school and SEMO Athletics, distribute program information, encourage students to participate, assist with reading-log submissions, and share reward and ticket information.
The coordinator can be a librarian, reading specialist, administrator or any school staff member ready to help their students get excited about reading.
Teachers and staff at participating schools will also have access to designated SEMO Athletics ticket offers, with promotional information distributed through each school's Rowdy’s Readers Coordinator.

The fun isn't just for individual readers — your entire classroom can compete!
The classroom with the most Rowdy’s Readers books submitted will receive:
- A Classroom Party courtesy of Burger King
- Cookies from Crumbl
- A special visit from Rowdy the Redhawk
- On-court recognition at the SEMO Women’s Basketball game on February 13, 2027
