Southeast Missouri Athletics Hall of Fame
1968-1971
Wadlington was an All-American in 1971 after placing second in the shot put at the NCAA Division II national finals. He established a then-Southeast outdoor shot put record with a throw of 59-0 1/2 en route to winning the MIAA championship. Wadlington helped lead Southeast to the MIAA title in 1971 by winning both the shot put and discus. He originally came to Southeast on a football scholarship, but excelled in track.
