Edgar Jones was a First-Team Associated Press and Second-Team Sporting News All-American following his senior season at SEMO. Jones led all of Division I-AA with 12 quarterback sacks and was named the Most Valuable Player of the Magnolia Gridiron Classic. He earned First-Team All-Ohio Valley Conference honors in 2006. Jones finished his career ranked second among the school's career leaders in sacks (16.0) and tied for 11th in tackles for loss (24.0). Jones also set SEMO's single-season record with 12.0 sacks in 2006. He signed as an undrafted free agent with the Baltimore Ravens in 2007 and played five seasons with the Ravens from 2007-2011. Jones also played with the Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys. In all, he played 64 NFL games, including 41 with Baltimore, seven with Dallas and 16 with Kansas City. He was also with the Cleveland Browns prior to his retirement.
