MARION, Ill. — Southeast Missouri Baseball (39-16) secured a narrow 2–1 victory over Lindenwood (30-27) at Mtn. Dew Park on Wednesday. Southeast Missouri's winning runs came in the eighth inning, highlighted by two home runs, while their pitching staff held Lindenwood to just one run on seven hits.
SEMO broke a scoreless tie in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Brooks Kettering launched a solo home run to deep right field, his fifth of the season.
Cal Sullivan followed with another solo homer to left field, marking his 15th of the season. This back-to-back power display put the Redhawks ahead 2–0 through eight innings.
In the ninth inning, Lindenwood managed to score on an RBI single by Sam Driscoll, bringing Will Geary home from second base. However, the late effort was not enough to overcome the lead established by Southeast Missouri.
Southeast Missouri secured a 2–1 victory over Lindenwood.
