Redhawks Conclude Tennessee Invite with 18 Top-Ten Finishes

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Parker Feuerborn and Terrico Garrett place first during day two of the Tennessee Invite. Southeast Missouri finished with two first place finishes, 18 top-ten finishes, and five new PR's during day two. 

Atop the Podium
Parker Feuerborn took the trophy in the men's hammer throw after throwing for a mark of 223' 11".

Terrico Garrett finished with a time of 1:50.08 which was his season best so far this year. Garrett placed first in the men's 800-meter and took home the gold medal.  

New PR's
With a mark of 210' 03" Paden Lewis grabbed the silver medal and the new personal best in the hammer throw.

Brianna Dixon ran the 100-meter hurdles for a new PR time of 13.97.

Layla Fleige achieved a new PR in the 800, crossing the line at 2:21.90.

In the men's 100-meter, Tanner Koontz recorded a new PR crossing the finish line in 10.90. 

Erika Mellor picked up a new personal best in the 400-meter race with a time of 58.96.

Top-Three
Sydney Burdine, Breanna Miles, Anna Thomason, and Laila Hardin teamed up and placed third in the women's 4x400 finishing in 3:45.58. 

Top-Ten
With a sixth place finish Marshall Swadley threw the hammer for a 192' 03" mark.

Erika Mellor took tenth ahead of 31 other athletes in the 800-meter with a time of 2:14.72.

Anna Thomason and Brianna Dixon both placed sixth with a time of 13.91 in the women 100-meter hurdles.

The freshman Marcus Gordon placed seventh crossing the finish line in 14.89 in the men's 110-meter hurdle race.

Alivia Busch placed tenth in the women's shot put. Busch threw to the distance of 42' 11.50" (13.09-meters).

The men's high jump saw Mason Clough place  seventh with a jump of 6' 02.75" (1.90m). 

Serena Williams places 7th in the women's triple jump - 38' 05.50" 11.72m

??The women's 400-meter saw Breanna Miles place sixth and Sydney Burdine place ninth while both finished with season best. Miles finished in 55.17 and Burdine in 56.17.  

Paden Lewis, Marshall Swadley, and Quinton Maxwell all competed in the men's shot put. Lewis placed fifth with a throw of 57' 06.25" (17.53m), Swadley got sixth with a mark of 55' 05.50" (16.90m), and Maxwell finished in ninth (50' 07.25", 15.42m).

In the men's triple jump Aarion Jackson placed seventh with a jump of 44' 11" (13.69m). 

Notable Performances
Mark Crawford placed 11th in the men's 800-meter with a time of 1:54.35, his season best.

Molly Grohmann jumped to the height of 5' 03" (1.60m) in the women's high jump placing 13th. 

In the men's 3000-meter steeplechase Clayton Eftink recorded a new season best finishing in 9:48.15.

Connor Moore placed 13th in the men's 400-meter and recorded his season best time (48.92). 

Looking Ahead
The track & field team will head to Urbana-Champaign, Ill. for the Gary Wieneke Memorial Invite, April 13th.
