Biography
2025 Outdoor: Competed in nine meets, including the NCAA DI West Regional meet...Notched 12 top 10 finishes...She started the season with back-to-back second place finishes in the 100-meter hurdles with a mark of 14.23s at the Ole Miss Classic and a time of 14.00s at the Pacesetter Sports Invitational...She set two more PRs at the Memphis Tiger Invitational in the 100m dash (12.67s) finishing 12th and in the HJ (5' 10.75", 1.80m) and winning the event. She also finished fourth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.01...She won the 100m hurdles at the Billy Hayes Invitational with a time of 13.87...At the OVC Championships she had a strong meet winning the high jump with a mark of 5' 7.75" and finishing second in the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.79...At the NCAA West Regional meet she jumped in the HJ reaching 5' 9.25 in the prelims.
2025 Indoor: Participated in seven meets...Finished in the top 10, 11 times...She started her sophomore campaign at the Redhawks Invite with three top 10 finishes including a second place finish in the high jump (5' 5") and the 55-meter hurdles (8.32s), along with a fourth place finish in the 200m (27.46)...She won the 60m hurdles at the Show-Me Showdown with a time of 8.97s...She had a pair of top 10 finishes at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational with a sixth place finish in the 60m hurdles (8.61s) and seventh in the high jump (5' 7.25", 1.71m)...At the second home meet of the season, the Redhawks Open, Dixon set a PR and won the 55-meter hurdles (8.08s) and also won the the high jump (5' 7", 1.71m)...She wrapped up the indoor season with a second place finish and PR in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.57, along with a win in the HJ with a mark of 5' 8.75" (1.75m).
2024 Outdoor: Competed at nine events..Won Ohio Valley Conference Female Field Athlete of the Year and Ohio Valley Conference Female Freshman of the Year…Notched OVC Female Freshman Athlete of the Week honors twice and OVC Female Track Athlete of the Week once…Broke the SEMO high jump record after clearing a height of 5’ 10.5” at the Memphis Tiger Invitational… Broke the SEMO 100m hurdles record two times during the year…The first with a time of 13.82 at the Memphis Tiger Invitational and the second at the OVC Championship with a finishing time of 13.60…Recorded 22 top ten finishes with half of them being top five performances…Began the season leaping over hurdles for 100m fro a time of 14.14 and the silver medal…Cleared a 5’ 7” bar in the high jump to take fourth while placing third in the 400H (1:09.55) at the Ole Miss Classic…Notched two first place performances at the Joey Haines Invite in the high jump (5' 8.75") and 100H (14.04)...Finished with a time of 12.68 (36th) for a new personal best in the 100m dash at the Tennessee Invite…Chalked up three new PRs in back-to-back-to-back meets in the 400H (1:05.42, 7th), 200m (25.31, 40th) and the high jump…Jumped over a bar set at 5' 7.25" to take the gold at the Ohio Valley Outdoor Championships…Ended the season at the NCAA West First Round with a high jump height of 5' 7.25" (36th).
2024 Indoor: Competed in eight meets…Won Ohio Valley Conference Female Freshman Athlete of the Year…Notched Female Freshman Athlete of the Week Once…Broke the SEMO indoor high jump record during her very first NCAA meet with a jump of 5’ 7.75”...Broke the SEMO 60m hurdles records after crossing the line 8.61 at the Ohio Valley Conference Championships…Finished with two bronze medals in the 60H and the 4x400m with times of 8.73 and 4:10.61…Recorded two fourth place finishes and a gold medal performance in the 4x400m (4:24.04), high jump (5' 5"), and the 55H (8.19) at the Redhawks Invite…Jumped over a height of 5' 7" for fifth and crossed the line at 8.97 in the 60H for second…Tallied two top five performances at the Samford Bulldog Invite, placing second (HJ, 5' 5.75") and fourth (60H, 8.83)...Claimed the top spot on the podium in the high jump after clearing a height of 5' 7.75" at the OVC Indoor Championships
Prep: Graduated from Rantoul High School in May 2023…Competes in hurdles, high jump, and sprints and was a letter-winner all four years of high school for head coach George Washington…In her junior and senior seasons, Dixon finished as the conference champion in the high jump and the 100-meter hurdles…Her senior season saw her finish as a conference champion in the 100-meter hurdles, and the 100 and 200-meter dash…Was the conference champion in the 100 and 300-meter hurdles as a junior as well…During her high school career, Dixon finished as a seven time All-State selection, an eight time conference champion, nine time sectional champion, and was selected as a nine time All-American.
Personal: Born August 24th…Daughter of Herbert and Stephanie Burnett…Intends to major in the professional pilot program.
