Southeast Missouri's track and field teams train and compete at the Abe Stuber Track Complex during the outdoor season. Considered one of the finest track facilities in the Midwest, it has been the host of the Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships several times, most recently in 2025. The facility is also home to the Joey Haines Invitational which is held during the first weekend of April every year. Dedicated in the spring of 1980 and named after the late Abe Stuber -- who coached the SEMO track squads from 1932-46 -- the facility includes a press box and spectator seating for up to 2,000. Designed strictly as a track and field complex, it has been the host site of three NCAA Division II National Track & Field Championships. Updates in recent years included resurfaced track and field runways, jumping areas, hammer cage, fencing and windscreens. A 2,000-square foot building sits adjacent to the track that has a weight room, coaches offices, restrooms and storage. The spacious weight room is equipped with seven multi-power racks and lifting platforms, and contains nearly 5,000 pounds of free weights, 3,000 pounds of dumbbells and numerous weight training machines. The Abe Stuber Track Complex is located on the north edge of campus off Sprigg Street and within walking distance to SEMO's main campus.
