ATLANTA, Ga. - The Southeast Missouri Track and Field teams wrapped up the Georgia Tech Invitational highlighted by
Sullivan Gleason and
Jake Cannon sharing the pole vault title.
Gleason and Cannon each cleared 17-0.75 on their third attempt to finish tied for first. In the throws,
Andreese Ortiz turned in a top-five finish in the women's discus with a mark of 157-1, while
Zavier Winton added a fifth-place finish in the men's discus at 165-3, continuing his consistent weekend in the circle.
On the track,
Tyler Anderson paced the Redhawks in the middle-distance events, placing seventh in the men's 800m with a time of 1:51.26, while
Evan Fuller followed in 20th at 1:52.55.
Sydney Burdine also competed in a competitive women's 400m field, finishing 14th with a time of 55.21.
Additional performances included
Alyssa Repke placing 11th in the women's discus (145-10) and
Cole Bruenderman finishing 14th in the men's triple jump with a leap of 46-4.25.
The Redhawks will return to the track Thursday for a two-day meet in Fayetteville, Arkansas for the John McDonnell Invite hosted by the University of Arkansas.
