Redhawks Continue Road Trip
Southeast Missouri (8-18, 3-10)Â continues its four-game road stretch with a trip to Eastern Illinois (14-12, 7-6) Saturday. Tip-off is set for 3:15 p.m., CT, at Lantz Arena.

Series History
The Redhawks are 29-24 all-time against Eastern Illinois. Southeast Missouri has won four of the last five meetings between these teams and goes for a sweep of the Panthers for the second-straight year. SEMO beat EIU, 64-59, in Cape Girardeau on Jan. 26.
Looking Ahead
After Saturday's game, the Redhawks play their final two road games at Austin Peay (Feb. 21) and Murray State (Feb. 23). Southeast Missouri's current four-game road stretch is its longest this year.
OVC Update
Southeast Missouri is tied for 11th in the Ohio Valley Conference standings with a 3-10 league record. Belmont (11-2) and Murray State (11-2) are locked in a first-place tie whle Jacksonville (10-3) and Austin Peay (10-3) follow. The final five teams on the Redhawks conference schedule are ahead of them in the standings. Â
McGlothan Named OVC Co-Freshman of the Week
Southeast Missouri freshman forward Gabe McGlothan was named Ohio Valley Conference Co-Freshman of the Week on Feb. 11. A native of Gilbert, Arizona, McGlothan had a huge week posting a double-double in back-to-back starts. He scored a season-high 27 points, grabbed 16 rebounds and made a jumper with two seconds left to send the game to overtime against Tennessee Tech (Feb. 7). McGlothan threw down a monsterous dunk with 48 seconds left in overtime to send SEMO to victory. Two days later, he scored 13 points and had 10 rebounds against Jacksonville State (Feb. 9) for his team-high third double-double of the season. For the week, McGlothan shot 61.5 percent (16-of-26) from the field, knocked down three 3-pointers and made 5-of-6 free throws (83.3 percent). He posted double-digit rebounds in four of his six OVC starts. Belmont's Dylan Windler (Player of the Week), UT Martin's Quintin Dove (Newcomer of the Week) and Eastern Kentucky's Jomaru Brown (Co-Freshman of the Week) rounded out the honorees.
Mr. Double-Double
Freshman Gabe McGlothan recorded a double-double in back-to-back games when he finished with 27 points and 16 rebounds vs. Tennessee Tech (Feb. 7) and 13 points and 10 boards against Jacksonville State (Feb. 9). McGlothan, who has a team-high three  double-doubles this season, became the first Redhawk to get a double-double in back-to-back games since Antonius Cleveland accomplished the feat vs. Belmont (13 pts., 11 reb.) and Tennessee State (21 pts., 10 reb.) in 2015-16.
Big Second Half
After not playing in the first half, Gabe McGlothan came off the bench to score a team-high 21 points in the final 20 minutes at UT Martin (Feb. 14). McGlothan shot 9-of-13 from the field, knocked down a pair of 3-pointers and grabbed six rebounds in 19 minutes. It was his second 20-point effort in three games and third-straight double-digit scoring performance.
Season-High in Steals
The Redhawks collected a season-high 13 steals off 19 forced turnovers at UT Martin (Feb. 14). Skyler Hogan (3), Jonathan Dalton (2), Ledarrius Brewer (2) and Oscar Kao (2) all had multiple steals in that game. The 19 forced turnovers matched a season-high. Southeast Missouri scored 29 points off those turnovers.
Approaching 300 Assists
Point guard Jonathan Dalton is just three assists away from reaching 300 in his career. Dalton enters Saturday's game with 397 career assists and a team-high 88 dishes this season. Dalton presently ranks fifth all-time in career assists at Southeast Missouri.
Rebounding Machine
For the fourth time this season, Gabe McGlothan reached double figures in the rebound column when he grabbed 10 vs. Jacksonville State (Feb. 9). McGlothan leads the team and ranks 11th in the Ohio Valley Conference with 6.1 rebounds per game.
On the Road
The Redhawks are 1-11 in true road games and 3-11 overall outside of Cape Girardeau this season. Southeast Missouri is looking to end an eight-game losing streak on the road. The Redhawks are 0-6 in away games during league play and last won on the road at  Mississippi Valley State (77-57) on Dec. 4.Â
Season Split
Southeast Missouri split its season series with UT Martin when it fell, 81-72, at the Elam Center Thursday. The Skyhawks went on a 24-2 run in the first eight minutes of the game and SEMO never recovered. The Redhawks pieced together a 16-0 run in just 3:17 to pull within single digits in the second half. UTM picked up its third-straight win.
Nineteen and Counting
Guard Ledarrius Brewer scored double figures for the 19th time this season when he dropped in 10 points at UT Martin (Feb. 14). Brewer's 19 double-digit scoring games are most on the team. He has scored double figures a total of 41 times in his career.
Draining 3s
The Redhawks matched a season-high 14 three-pointers at Florida State (Dec. 17). Southeast Missouri shot 14-of-37 behind the arc with seven treys in each half. SEMO made 11 or more 3-pointers in nine contests. The Redhawks are averaging 8.4 three-point field goals made per game.

The Redhawks rank second in the Ohio Valley Conference and 39th in the nation in 3-point field goal percentage defense. Opponents are shooting 31.5 percent from beyond the arc against Southeast Missouri this year. Murray State leads the OVC with a .285 three-point field goal percentage defense.
About Eastern Illinois
Eastern Illinois ended a three-game losing streak with a 79-65 win at SIU Edwardsville Thursday. EIU is 14-16 overall and 7-6 in the Ohio Valley Conference, and is fifth in the standings. The Panthers lead the league in 3-point field goal percentage with a 38 percent (224-of-590)Â clip. Josiah Wallace is EIU's top scoring threat with 15.2 points a game. Wallace leads the Panthers with 50 three-pointers made.
Against the Ohio Valley
Southeast Missouri is 22-41 in Ohio Valley Conference play under head coach Rick Ray. The Redhawks best OVC record with Ray at the helm was 9-7 in 2016-17. That year was also the last time SEMO made the OVC Tournament.
