We Meet AgainRivals Southeast and Murray State meet for the second time after last hooking up in a nationally-televised ESPNU matchup on Feb. 4 in Cape Girardeau. The Racers, who led the entire game, beat the Redhawks, 78-72. Southeast is currently 2-3 in Ohio Valley Conference West Division play this season.
Series HistorySoutheast faces Murray State for the 72nd time this week. MSU owns a 51-20 lead in the all-time series and is 42-8 against the Redhawks during Southeast's NCAA Division I era (since 1991-92). The Racers won 15 of the last 18 meetings in the series. Southeast is 1-7 in its last eight trips to Murray with the lone win during that stretch coming on Mar. 2, 2013 (84-68).
Four-Game SkidThe Redhawks look to end a four-game losing streak when they square off against Murray State. Southeast, which is on a losing streak of four or more games for the third time this season, fell to Austin Peay (86-80 on Jan. 30) and Murray State (78-72 on Feb. 4) at home, and Ohio Valley Conference West Division co-leader Eastern Illinois (78-69 on Feb. 6) and UT Martin (77-64 on Feb. 11)on the road.
Last Meeting vs. Murray StateSoutheast battled back from an 18-point deficit to pull to within three with less than a minute left, but came up short in a 78-72 loss to Murray State in front of a national television audience on Feb. 4. The Redhawks and Racers met on ESPNU and Southeast trailed, 54-36, after MSU buried four 3-pointers in the first 3:42 of the second half. Jeffery Moss knocked down three of his game-high seven treys during that stretch. The Redhawks, who never led in the game, clawed their way back and managed to cut MSU's lead to three points on three occasions in the final six minutes.
Antonius Cleveland sent a jolt into the home crowd when he threw down a dunk off a
Jamaal Calvin pass, cutting the Racers lead to 65-62 at the 5:53 mark. Cleveland later got a steal and scored a layup to make it a 69-66 game with 3:37 left to play. Then, Calvin made two free throws to slice MSU's lead to 75-72 with 40 seconds remaining. After MSU called timeout, Calvin stole the ball from Justin Seymour and drove to the basket for a layup. Calvin, however, slipped near the low block and turned the ball over with 11 seconds on the clock. MSU added three free throws in the last eight seconds to claim the win.
Big Second Half Run Not EnoughThe Redhawks were behind, 60-35, with 11:19 remaining in the game when they put together a 23-6 run to lower UT Martin's lead under double figures Thursday night in Martin.
Isiah Jones scored 12 points to key the surge and knocked down a pair of 3-pointers, including the one that made it a 66-58 game with 3:47 left to play. The Skyhawks missed 10-straight field goals and went scoreless for 4:24 during that span, but regouped to score six unanswered points coming out of a timeout. UTM went on to win its fourth-straight game with a 77-64 victory. Southeast and UTM split their series this season with the Redhawks winning in overtime
(68-60) on Jan. 24.
50 for ClevelandAntonius Cleveland scored 16 points, pulled down seven rebounds, dished out five assists, gathered two blocks and collected a pair of steals in 38 minutes at UT Martin (Feb. 11). It marked the 50th double-digit scoring game of Cleveland's. He leads Southeast in scoring and rebounding with 14.6 points and 6.8 boards in 22 games and 21 starts this year. His 50 double-digit scoring games are most on the team.
Road to 1,000Junior
Antonius Cleveland currently has 934 points in his Southeast career. Cleveland is 66 away from getting 1,000 points. He is averaging a team-high 14.6 points per game with double figures in 18 of his 21 starts this year. The Redhawks had a player join the 1,000-point club in three-straight seasons.
Jarekious Bradley officially hit that mark in 2014-15 (vs. Austin Peay on Feb. 28), Tyler Stone did it in 2013-14 (vs. Ball State on Nov. 18) and Marland Smith accomplished the feat in 2012-13 (vs. UT Martin on Feb. 9). Stone and Smith were in the third year of their Southeast careers when they went over 1,000 points.
Cleveland Goes Over 100 StealsAntonius Cleveland went over 100 career steals at Eastern Illinois (Feb. 6). Cleveland led the Redhawks with a double-double 15 points and 10 rebounds, and had two assists, a career-high three blocks and two steals against the Panthers. His 100th career steal came with 14:03 left to play in the game.
OVC UpdateA loss at Murray State Saturday will eliminate Southeast from getting to this year's Ohio Valley Conference Tournament. The Redhawks are currently 2-10 in league play and fifth in the OVC West Division standings. Southeast made the league's postseason tournament each of the last five seasons.

Jones shot a career-high 8-of-11 free throws and scored 12 of his points in the second half to key the Redhawks big run. He also matched a career high eight rebounds and knocked down three 3-pointers. Jones is Southeast's second-leading scorer with 10.7 points per contest.
On the ReboundSoutheast edged Eastern Illinois (Feb. 6), 39-38, on the boards, outrebounding its opponent for the seven time this year. The Redhawks have outrebounded their opponent in four of their last seven contests. Southeast is fourth in the Ohio Valley Conference in rebounding offense with 35.7 per game in league play.
3-Point AttemptsThe Redhawks matched a season-high with 25 three-point attempts at Eastern Illinois (Feb. 6). Southeast finished at 5-of-25 (20 pct.) for the game and just 1-of-14 (7.1 pct.) in the second half. The Redhawks also went 5-of-25 from 3-point range in their season-opener at Dayton (Nov. 13).
Passes Per PossessionSoutheast's loss at Eastern Illinois (Feb. 6) saw the Redhawks shoot 15 field goals with no more than two passes per possession. Southeast shot 33.3 percent (5-of-15) from the field and 6.6 percent (1-of-15) from 3-point range in that situation. When Southeast passed the ball anywhere from three to six times on a possession, it shot 81.8 percent (9-of-11) from the floor and 67 percent (2-of-3) from beyond the arc against the Panthers.
Free Throw HighSoutheast shot a season-high 32 free throws at UT Martin (Feb. 11). The Redhawks sent six different players to the charity stripe with
