Round TwoSoutheast faces UT Martin for the second time this season when it heads to Martin Thursday. The Redhawks went 2-3 through their first half of Ohio Valley Conference West Division play. Southeast beat the Skyhawks, 68-60, in overtime on Jan. 24 and SIU Edwardsville, 58-51, on Jan. 28.
Series HistoryThe Redhawks hold a 47-28 advantage in their all-time series against UT Martin. Southeast has won eight of the previous 11 matchups between these teams. The Redhawks were victorious in three of their last four trips to Martin, last winning at the Elam Center by a score of 77-74 on Feb. 22, 2014. Southeast looks to sweep its season series against UTM for the third time in five years after taking this year's first meeting, 68-60, on Jan. 24 in Cape Girardeau.
Three-Game SkidThe Redhawks look to end a three-game losing streak when they square off against the Skyhawks. Southeast, which is on a losing streak of three or more games for the third time this season, fell to Austin Peay (86-80 on Jan. 30) and Murray State (78-72 on Feb. 4) at home, and Ohio Valley Conference West Division leader Eastern Illinois (78-69 on Feb. 6) on the road.
Last Time vs. UT MartinSoutheast picked up its first Ohio Valley Conference win of the season in dramatic fashion when it beat UT Martin, 68-60, in overtime on Jan. 24 at the Show Me Center. The Redhawks held a 19-point lead before Alex Anderson made a 3-pointer on four of five possessions late in the second half to get UTM back in the game.
Antonius Cleveland later sent the game to overtime when he split two free throws with three seconds left in regulation.
Trey Kellum then scored Southeast's first six points in OT and helped the Redhawks outscore the Skyhawks, 13-5, in the extra period to secure the win. Cleveland (20 pts., 11 reb.) and Kellum (11 pts., 15 reb.) each finished with a double-double. Cleveland returned to face UTM after missing three contests with a wrist injury.
Cleveland Goes Over 100 StealsAntonius Cleveland went over 100 career steals at Eastern Illinois (Feb. 6). Cleveland led the Redhawks with a double-double 15 points and 10 rebounds, and had two assists, a career-high three blocks and two steals against the Panthers. His 100th career steal came with 14:03 left to play in the game. Cleveland recorded his team-high 17th double figure game and fifth double-double of the season.

Antonius Cleveland scores double figures against UT Martin Thursday, it will mark the 50th double-digit scoring game of his career. Cleveland leads Southeast in scoring and rebounding with 14.5 points and 6.8 boards in 21 games and 20 starts this year. His 49 double-digit scoring games are most on the team.
Road to 1,000Junior
Antonius Cleveland currently has 918 points in his Southeast career. Cleveland is 82 away from getting 1,000 points. He is averaging a team-high 14.5 points per game with double figures in 17 of his 20 starts this year. The Redhawks had a player join the 1,000-point club in three-straight seasons.
Jarekious Bradley officially hit that mark in 2014-15 (vs. Austin Peay on Feb. 28), Tyler Stone did it in 2013-14 (vs. Ball State on Nov. 18) and Marland Smith accomplished the feat in 2012-13 (vs. UT Martin on Feb. 9). Stone and Smith were in the third year of their Southeast careers when they went over 1,000 points.
Get Another OneSoutheast goes for its second-straight road win after beating SIU Edwardsville, 58-51, the last time it played away from Cape Girardeau on Jan. 28. The Redhawks have not won back-to-back Ohio Valley Conference road games since the 2013-14 season (74-68 at Eastern Illinois on Feb. 8; 77-74 at UT Martin on Feb. 22).
Defense Looks to ImproveThe Redhawks, after limiting opponents to just 57.3 points per game during their three-game winning streak from Jan. 19-28, surrendered 80.7 over their current three-game losing streak. Southeast lost those three contests by a combined 21 points. Â
On the ReboundSoutheast edged Eastern Illinois (Feb. 6), 39-38, on the boards, outrebounding its opponent for the seven time this year. The Redhawks have outrebounded their opponent in four of their last six contests. Southeast is tied for third in the Ohio Valley Conference in rebounding offense with 35.7 per game in league play.
3-Point AttemptsThe Redhawks matched a season-high with 25 three-point attempts at Eastern Illinois (Feb. 6). Southeast finished at 5-of-25 (20 pct.) for the game and just 1-of-14 (7.1 pct.) in the second half. The Redhawks also went 5-of-25 from 3-point range in their season-opener at Dayton (Nov. 13).
Passes Per PossessionSoutheast's loss at Eastern Illinois (Feb. 6) saw the Redhawks shoot 15 field goals with no more than two passes on a possession. Southeast shot 33.3 percent (5-of-15) from the field and 6.6 percent (1-of-15) from 3-point range in that situation. Trip Down Memory LaneAntonius Cleveland, a fresman at the time, banked in a halfcourt shot at the buzzer to lift Southeast to a 77-74 victory the last time it won at the Elam Center on Feb. 22, 2014. Dee Oldham made two free throws to tie the game at 74-74 with 4.3 seconds on the clock. Southeast then inbounded the ball to Cleveland, who dribbled to halfcourt and launched his desparation shot that banked off the glass and went through the basket as time expired. He had 14 points in 20 minutes off the bench in that game.
Opponent ScorersAn opposing player has scored 26 or more points against Southeast in three-straight games. Josh Robinson, Austin Peay's second-leading scorer, dropped in 30 against the Redhawks on Jan. 30. Jeffery Moss, Murray State's second-leading scorer, followed with 26 points on Feb. 4. Trae Anderson, who leads Eastern Illinois in scoring, then finished with 27 points and 12 rebounds against Southeast on Feb. 6. Those three players shot a combined 63.8 percent (30-of-47) from the field in the Redhawks previous three contests.
About UT MartinUT Martin is presently on a three-game winning streak and stands third in the Ohio Valley Conference West Division with an overall 13-12 record and 5-5 league mark. The Skyhawks are second in the OVC defending the three, as opponents are shooting 33 percent from beyond the arc. Opponents are also turning the ball over just 12.1 times per game against UTM, second-fewest in the conference. Twymond Howard is the Skyhawks top scoring threat with 14.3 points a game, ranking 13th among league leaders. Kedar Edwards (6th), Howard (8th) and Myles Taylor (17th) are among the OVC's top rebounders. UTM is 7-2 at the Elam Center this season.
