Series HistoryLoyola Marymount makes its first trip to Cape Girardeau this year. Southeast and LMU hooked up for the first time to start the 2014-15 season. The Redhawks lost by a score of 76-66 in Los Angeles, California on Nov. 14, 2014. That game was part of the LMU Classic which also featured the University of San Diego.
Home-OpenersSoutheast is 19-5 all-time in home-openers since joining the NCAA Division I level in 1991-92. The Redhawks opened their home slate with a win in four-straight years (all against non-Division I teams) and posted victories in 11 of their last 13 home-opening games. The last time Southeast hosted an NCAA Division I team in its home-opener was on Nov. 22, 2010 (lost to Grambling State, 76-77, in overtime).
Road WarriorsSoutheast spent its first four games of the season on the road, travelling roughly 3,585 miles between stops at Dayton, Ohio, Evansville, Indiana, Huntsville, Alabama and Edinburg, Texas. The Redhawks logged a total of 1,698 miles by charter bus alone. Southeast returned to Cape Girardeau from Texas Wednesday evening and spent two days preparing for Saturday's game against Loyola Marymount.
Tough StartThe Redhawks are 0-4 this season with one more game left in November. Southeast, which is looking to snap a five-game losing streak dating back to last year, is winless in its first four games of a season for the first time since 2010-11. That year, the Redhawks went 0-10 and did not get their first win until Dec. 11 (101-52 vs. Hannibal-LaGrange).
Another Starting LineupSoutheast used its third different starting lineup when
Robby Dosier,
Trey Kellum,
Isiah Jones,
Joel Angus III and
J.T. Jones started at Texas Rio Grande Valley (Nov. 24).
Marcus Wallace,
Isiah Jones,
Antonius Cleveland, Angus and
Tony Anderson (at Dayton, Nov. 13), and
Eric McGill,
Isiah Jones, Cleveland, Angus and
J.T. Jones (at Evansville, Nov. 15; at Alabama A&M, Nov. 19) were the other combinations.
Big Game for KellumForward
Trey Kellum became Southeast's first 20-point scorer this season when he dropped in 21 and had nine rebounds in 23 minutes at Texas Rio Grande Valley (Nov. 24). Kellum shot 9-of-12 from the field and 3-of-5 at the free throw line in his first career start as a Redhawk. He scored 10 of his points in the first 4:15 of the game.
Nice StartSoutheast shot 51.6 percent (16-of-31) from the field in the first half at Texas Rio Grande Valley (Nov. 24), its best shooting percentage in any half of basketball this season. The Redhawks also led, 42-36, at the half, grabbing their first halftime lead since pulling ahead, 41-27, at the intermission vs. Austin Peay on Feb. 28, 2015. That game was also the last time Southeast held a halftime lead (41-27).
On the ReboundThe Redhawks outrebounded their opponent for the second-straight game when they held a 39-34 advantage at Texas Rio Grande Valley (Nov. 24). Southeast averaged 42 boards per game and had a total of 33 offensive rebounds in those contests. The Redhawks pulled down a season-high 17 offensive rebounds against the Vaqueros and rank third in the Ohio Valley Conference averaging 13.8 offensive boards per game.

Trey Kellum and
Isiah Jones paved the way with 21 and 17 points, respectively.
Antonius Cleveland added 12 points and
Marcus Wallace contributed 10 off the bench. Cleveland and Wallace helped Southeast's reserves outscore UTRGV's bench, 28-3.

Coleman and Kellum See ActionLadarius Coleman and
Trey Kellum saw action for the first time this season at Alabama A&M (Nov. 19). Coleman and Kellum missed Southeast's first two games due to a violation of departmental policies and procedures during the 2014-15 academic year. Coleman had a career-high nine points and nine rebounds in 27 minutes, while Kellum scored two points and grabbed five rebounds in 13 minutes. Coleman and Kellum helped Southeast's reserves outscore AAMU's bench, 19-10.
Free Throw WoesThe Redhawks have shot under 50 percent at the free throw line in three of their four games this season. Southeast is currently 12th in the Ohio Valley Conference and 346th in the nation with a .464 clip (39-of-84).
