CHARLESTON, Ill. — Southeast Missouri Baseball (31-16, 12-9) fell to Eastern Illinois (28-15, 15-6) with a final score of 8–3 on Sunday. The Redhawks managed a three-run fourth inning, but Eastern Illinois responded with a decisive six-run rally in the seventh inning.
Eastern Illinois took an early lead in the second inning when Dylan Drumke scored on Tyler Castro's RBI single, making it 1–0 after two innings.

Ryan Lopetegui's sacrifice bunt advanced the runners.
Carson Schrack then delivered a two-RBI single, scoring Shakotko and Hall. A wild pitch later allowed Schrack to cross the plate, giving the Redhawks a 3–1 lead at the end of four innings.
In the sixth inning, Eastern Illinois cut the deficit to one. James Love scored on a sacrifice fly by Peyton Wilson, making it 3–2 through six innings.
The seventh inning proved pivotal as Eastern Illinois rallied. A bases-loaded walk scored Chris Worcester, followed by Dylan Drumke's grand slam, which drove in four runs. This surge gave Eastern Illinois an 8–3 lead, which they maintained through the seventh inning.
Neither team scored in the final two innings. Eastern Illinois secured an 8–3 victory over the Redhawks.
