Butler CC: Spent the last two seasons at Butler Community College in Butler, Kansas playing for head coach BJ McVay and Ty Reese…In both 2023 and 2024, the team made Region 6 appearances…During the 2023 campaign, Caden finished the season on the mound with a 10-1 record and accumulated a 2.95 ERA over 82.1 innings pitched…In the same season, Kickhaefer was a second team all-conference selection, won the Jayhawk Conference Gold Glove, and the Rawlings Gold Glove award…He was a honorable mention all-conference selection in 2024…Concluding his two-year career, Caden finished second all-time in Butler history with wins (19), fifth all-time in strikeouts (154), and fourth all-time in innings pitched (154). 
 
Prep: Started and lettered all four seasons at Salina Central High School for head coach Dee Kolzow (2018-2021) on the mound…In 2021 he was selected as a first team all-conference player…Caden also played basketball at Salina Central where he was an honorable mention all-conference player (2019) before finishing his career as a second team all-conference selection (2021). 
 
Personal: The son of Darin and Teresa Kickhaefer…Caden was awarded the National Leadership Award during his high school career…He intends to major in sports management at Southeast.
