ST. CHARLES, Mo. — Southeast Missouri Baseball (21-9, 5-2) fell to Lindenwood (13-16, 1-6) in a narrow 3–2 decision on Thursday at Lou Brock Sports Complex. The Redhawks rallied with two runs in the ninth inning but ultimately fell short.
Lindenwood took an early lead in the first inning when Kam Edwards singled to the pitcher, allowing Jake Radosevich to score. This put the Lions ahead 1–0.
In the third inning, Lindenwood extended its lead. Will Geary doubled to right center, advanced to third on a groundout, and scored on a fielder's choice. Mathew Graf later scored on Kam Edwards' double down the left field line, making it 3–0 through three innings.
The Redhawks mounted a comeback attempt in the ninth inning.
Caleb Klein reached first on an error, and
Cal Sullivan walked. A pinch runner,
Caleb Champion, took Sullivan's place, and both runners scored on a double by
Joe Hall to center field. However, the rally fell short, and Lindenwood secured a 3–2 victory.
Final score: Lindenwood 3, Southeast Missouri State 2.
