Season Sweep
SEMO Baseball powered their way to a season sweep of Evansville on Wednesday night with a 9-1 victory in Evansville, Indiana. RHP John-Paul Sauer (1-1) picked up his first victory of the season as he was dominant over 4.0 innings. Sauer allowed just one run on three hits and punched out a career-high six opposing hitters. The offense was powered by right fielder Ryan Lopetegui who finished 5-6 at the plate with four RBIs. Lopetegui narrowly missed the program record of six hits in a game. Six Redhawks recorded multi-hit games as the offense recorded a season-high 17 hits against UE. SEMO took both games from Evansville this season, outscoring the Aces by a 22-5 margin.

SEMO has completed two series sweeps (Milwaukee & Wright State) and secured single wins over Miami (OH), Evansville, and Missouri State. SEMO is currently 9-0 in the month of March with their last loss coming on the final day of February to Miami (OH).
