Redhawks Fall at Ole Miss Tuesday Night

OXFORD, Miss. — Southeast Missouri (3-6) fell to Ole Miss (9-0) in a 13-3 defeat on Tuesday at Swayze Field. The Redhawks managed to score in three separate innings but was unable to overcome Ole Miss' six-run second inning.

SEMO began the game with a strong offensive effort. Caleb Klein singled up the middle and later scored on an RBI single by Joe Hall, giving the visiting team an early 1-0 lead. However, Ole Miss quickly responded with three runs in the bottom of the first inning, making it 3-1 after one inning.

In the second inning, Joe Terranova walked and later scored on a single by Carson Schrack. Despite the run, the Rebels extended their lead significantly by scoring six runs in the bottom half of the inning, resulting in a 9-2 score after two innings.

The Redhawks added another run in the fifth inning when Klein walked, stole second, and scored on another RBI single by Hall. The score tightened slightly to 9-3, but Ole Miss maintained control.

In the seventh inning, Ole Miss further extended its lead. A three-run homer by W. Furniss highlighted a four-run inning, bringing the final score to 13-3 in favor of Ole Miss.
