MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Southeast Missouri track & field enjoyed a successful day one of the Memphis Invite with 31 top ten finishes with ten being top three marks and 13 new personal bests.
Day two of the meet is scheduled for 11:45 a.m., with the women's 100m hurdles and will finish at 3:30 p.m. with the men's 4x400m.
First Place Redhawks
In the women's hammer throw
Makenzie Williams took home the trophy with a final mark of 184' 5".
Josiah Kilgore chalked up a throw of 197' 2" for first in the men's javelin.
In the men's pole vault
Sullivan Gleason vaulted over a height of 16' 6" to wear the gold around his neck.
Clara Billing cleared a pole vault height of 13' 8.50" to wear the crown.
Podium Finishes
The bronze medal and mark of 172' 5" belonged to
Baylee Beard in the hammer throw.
Clay Alewelt achieved a final distance of 180' 2" for third  in the men's hammer throw.
Colin Beers vaulted to a new personal record of 16' 6" for second in the men's pole vault.
After clearing a height of 11' 5"
Charlie Ham was in fourth in the pole vault.
In the 1500m
Lauren Eftink grabbed the silver medal (4:42.01)and
Layla Fliege grabbed the bronze medal (4:43.52) while both recorded new personal bests.
Noah Little and
Evan Fuller crossed the line at 3:53.56 (2nd, PR) and 3:54.99 (3rd).
Top Five Marks
Aarion Jackson long jumped to a distance of 23' 0.50" for fifth.
After the women's hammer throw was over
Bailie Hux was in fourth with a finishing distance of 172' 4".
In the men's javelin, Greg Dennis and Luis Schdlich achieved distances of 152' 9" (4th) and 152' 1" (5th, PR).
In the women's javelin
Kennedy Zgaynor and
Kendall Holweg recorded final marks of 140' 0" and 126' 6" for fourth and fifth both notching new PR's.
Mattea Pearsall ran for a finishing time of 4:47.19 for fourth and a new personal record.

Andreese Ortiz placed 10th in the women's hammer throw (138' 2").
In the men's hammer,
Quinton Maxwell posted a mark of 146' 1" (8th).
Jake Casey threw the javelin for a final distance of 145' 2" for seventh.
The women's javelin saw
Anna Thomason place sixth (126' 3", PR), Tayler gudde placed seventh (123' 5"),
Baylee Beard placed eighth (115' 1"),
Ava Dumke placed ninth (111' 11").
In the men's 1500m
Myles Thornburg placed sixth (3:59.86, PR),
Garrett Dumke placed seventh (4:05.50, PR),
Clayton Eftink placed eighth (4:05.54, PR), and
Jacob Blassingame placed 10th (4:09.04, PR).
Kayla Vogelsang and
Alayna Sparr clocked in at 4:53.44 and 4:59.89 for seventh and eighth.
