Redhawks Play Two in the Midweek
Southeast Missouri Baseball (8-7) will play two midweek contests this week beginning on Tuesday, March 11, against Missouri Valley Conference member, Evansville (5-9). SEMO will then travel to Saint Louis to take on the Bilikens on Wednesday, March 12. First pitch is slated for 4 p.m. & 2 p.m. in Cape Girardeau and St. Louis, Mo., respectively.

This season, SEMO Baseball has had two midweek contests postponed/cancelled due to weather. The Redhawks were not originally scheduled to play Saint Louis who they will now face on Wednesday afternoon from Biliken Sports Center in St. Louis, Mo.Â

This week's matchups will mark the fifth and 11

Andy Sawyers has faced the Purple Aces and Bilikens, respectively. A season ago, the Redhawks faced off with UE twice with the Aces taking both games by a single run in each matchup. The Redhawks last faced SLU during the 2022 season resulting in a 16-5 Redhawks victory. Sawyers is 1-3 against UE and 7-3 against Saint Louis all-time.Â

SEMO Baseball wrapped up a four-game set with Indiana State on Sunday afternoon. The two teams split the series, 2-2, with the Sycamores winning the first two games before the Redhawks rattled off two-straight wins to tie the series. Andrew Ramirez has reached base safely in 12-straight games beginning back on February 21. Ramirez has started all 15 games this season at short stop and has an on-base percentage of .429 ranking him second on the club.Â

Cole Warehime
Right fielder
Cole Warehime had a season-high performance on Sunday afternoon. Along with hitting his team-leading fourth home run of the season, Warehime drove in a season best four RBIs against Indiana State. Warehime now has nine RBIs on the season which is the second most on the team. He is hitting .357 and slugging an impressive .762.Â

Mugan Leading

Michael Mugan tied his season-high with three hits over the weekend. Mugan went 3-3 in Saturday's game two of the doubleheader. He now has two games this season with three hits and is tied for the team lead with 16 hits on the season so far.Â

Ty Stauss, who had been struggling ahead of Sunday's game, recorded his season-high with three hits against Indiana State. Stauss did not record a hit on Saturday before Sunday's finale. He recorded a pair of singles and a double, driving in an RBI. He now has 15 hits on the season and is hitting .254 overall.Â

The Redhawks have been lethal in the final three innings of the game this season. When leading their opponents after the sixth inning, SEMO is currently 8-0 on the campaign. The Redhawks have scored 18 runs after the sixth inning while allowing just 15 runs to their opponents in the final third.Â

Alex Hayes has been a model of consistency in just his second season in Cape Girardeau. Hayes recorded his 13
th appearance without allowing a walk on Sunday afternoon against Indiana State. This season, Hayes has allowed just five walks in five appearances with Sunday being the first appearance without a walk. He has 10 strikeouts in 6.1 innings this season.Â

Matthew Lorenzano came in to pitch in Friday's series opener against Indiana State. Lorenzano, who has four appearances on the season, recorded a career-high three strikeouts in an inning of work. He has allowed a season-low three walks three times this season, including Friday.Â

Jackson Kranawetter made two-straight appearances this weekend on both Saturday and Sunday. Kranawetter, who did not have a save entering the weekend, picked up saves in each Redhawk win this weekend. He punched out a career-high seven hitters on Saturday evening in 2.2 innings of work. He pitched the final 1.1 innings on Sunday, punching out two, extending his total to 23 strikeouts on the season.Â

Caden Kickhaefer made his second appearance of 2025 on Saturday afternoon. He surrendered just one hit and did not allow a run. In two appearances, Kickhaefer has allowed just two hits without allowing a run. He has seven strikeouts in 4.0 innings of work.Â
