Mt. San Antonio College: Began his collegiate baseball career at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, California for head coach John Knott…Was selected as the ‘Player of the Game’ 10-out-of-13 starts on the mound for the Mounties…His team won the first round of the playoffs during his time at Mt. SAC. 
 
Prep: Competed for South Hills High School where he started and lettered for three seasons for head coach Darren Murphy…During his time, Matthew was awarded the Most Valuable Player of the Hacienda League, the All-Star Pitcher award, and was named a ‘Top 5 Player in the Hacienda League’…His team won their conference once in his three years at South Hills…He was named to the Dean’s List during his high school career. 
 
Personal: The son of Ben Lorenzano…Matthew intends to major in professional studies at Southeast.
