Series History
Morehead State leads the all-time series by a count of 37-21. MSU won the first meeting between the teams this season, 83-64, on Jan. 31 in Cape Girardeau. Southeast Missouri beat the Eagles in Morehead each of the last two years. SEMO won there on Jan. 14, 2023 (91-86) and Feb. 19, 2022 (92-84).

Still Alive
The Redhawks are still in the hunt for the final spot in this year's Ohio Valley Conference Tournament entering their final two games of the season. Southeast Missouri must win out and both Tennessee Tech and Southern Indiana has to lose their last two games. If that happens, there will be a three-way tie for eighth and SEMO holds the tiebreaker. Morehead State, UT Martin, Little Rock, Western Illinois, Tennessee State, SIU Edwardsville and Eastern Illinois occupy the other spots.

Home Finale
Southeast Missouri fell to UT Martin, 82-72, in its final home game of the season on Feb. 24. SEMO was within two twice in last eight minutes of the contest, but UTM scored eight of the final 10 points of the game to hold off the Redhawks. The Redhawks finished with a 8-7 record at the Show Me Center.

Senior Salute
The Redhawks recognized Aquan Smart, Josh Earley and Dylan Branson during their Senior Day festivities prior to their game against UT Martin (Feb. 24). All three won a ring with Southeast Missouri's Ohio Valley Conference Tournament championship and NCAA Tournament team a year ago.

Bell Sees Double
Marqueas Bell scored double figures in three of his last four games. Bell dropped in 17 at Eastern Illinois (Feb. 15), 18 at SIU Edwardsville (Feb. 17) and 10 vs. Little Rock (Feb. 22) during that stretch. He has started each of Southeast Missouri's last three contests.

MSU leads the OVC in scoring defense (63.4 ppg allowed), scoring margin (+12.2), field goal percentage (.468), field goal percentage defense (.389), rebounding defense (30.5 rpg), rebounding margin (+9.2), assists (15.1) and 3-point field goals made (9.2 per game).
