CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri tennis announces the signing of Saskia Soome Thursday Morning and she will join the Redhawks and Head Coach Steve Brooks in the fall of 2025.

Saskia Soome is a native of Pielavesi, Finland and plans to study physics once she gets to SEMO.

"I am very excited to announce the signing of Saskia for the fall 2025. Her personality and work ethic will fit in well with the style of team we are building here at SEMO.  Saskia has lots of raw talent, she is a strong 5'10" lefty who loves to play doubles and come to the net," is what Head Coach Brooks had to say about Saskia.

Soome has an ITF ranking of 1941 and won 2 under 21 Finnish championships.

Coach Brooks was very impressed with her ability and also had this to say about her, "Earning an +8 UTR says a lot considering where she lives, her city's population is just over 4000. I look forward to hearing the Redhawk Nation cheering her name!"
