Tennis Travels to Evansville for OVC Fall Tournament

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — The Southeast Missouri tennis team will compete in the OVC Fall Invitational Friday through Sunday. The tournament will host six teams and be hosted by Southern Indiana University in Evansville, Ind.
OVC Fall Tournament
There will be six teams competing at Wesselman Park in Terre Haute, Ind. Teams include SEMO, Southern Indiana, Bryant, Lindenwood, SIUE, and Western Illinois.Â

Redhawk InviteÂ
The Redhawks went 7-1 in the doubles matches. In the second round, SEMO won all four of the matches.Â
Bajorek and Drag took the first match 7-6, 7-5. Zemstova and Tadoum won 6-3. Mayerova and Huebner defeated Dell and Souza 7-6, 7-3. To finish the doubles matches for the day, de Greef and Tsao took the match 6-3. In the singles portion of the day SEMO went 6-0.Â
The next day, in the doubles match, all of the Redhawk duos won two out the three matches. Drag and de Greef were defeated 6-2. Tadoum and Tsao took their match 6-4. Heubner and Zemstova finished the match with a win over WIU's Trush and Dhankar 6-2.Â
 In the singles, the Redhawks were 4-1. Drag defeated Fawcett 6-2, 6-2, de Greef took down Dell 6-1, 6-0 and Tadoum defeated Trush 8-5 at No. 4 singles.  Michelle Huebner was taken down by Dhankhar 6-3, 7-5. Bajorek defeated Routier 6-3, 6-3.
Fall Schedule
After the OVC Fall Tournament the team will travel Cincinnati, Ohio for the ITA Regional Tournament on October 8ththrough October 13th.
