Redhawks Face Little Rock
Southeast Missouri (7-13, 2-5) continues its road stretch with a trip to Little Rock (10-10, 4-3) Saturday. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m., CT at the Jack Stephens Center.

Series History
Southeast Missouri and Little Rock are tied at 3-3 in their overall series. SEMO swept the Trojans in the home-and-home series between the teams a year ago. The 2022-23 season was Little Rock's first as a member of the Ohio Valley Conference.

Road Tripping
The Redhawks close out January with three-straight road games. Southeast Missouri played at UT Martin (Jan. 25), faces Little Rock Saturday and heads to Lindenwood Tuesday during that stretch which matches SEMO's longest road swing of the season. The Redhawks are 0-10 away from Cape Girardeau with a 0-9 mark in true road games. SEMO dropped 13-straight true road games dating back to 2022-23. The Redhawks last true road victory was at Eastern Illinois (79-68) on Jan. 28, 2023.

SEMO Stumbles at UT Martin Thursday 
Southeast Missouri fell to UT Martin, 84-58, at the Elam Center Thursday night. SEMO never trailed in the game and was down a point when the Skyhawks used a 19-1 first-half run to pull away. The Redhawks went scoreless for nearly five-and-a-half minutes and missed eight-straight field goals in that stretch. Josh Earley and Rob Martin paved the way with 14 and 10 points, respectively.

Redhawks Upend SIU Edwardsville
The Redhawks ended a four-game losing streak in Ohio Valley Conference play when it took down SIU Edwardsville in a low scoring 52-47 victory on Jan. 20. SEMO made six free throws in the final 21 seconds to seal the win. The Redhawks beat the Cougars in seven of the last eight meetings between the teams. SEMO put a halt to SIUE's three-game winning streak, as well.

Earley is Rolling
Josh Earley scored double figures and led the Redhawks in scoring during each of his last six starts. Earley scored a career-high 20 points at Tennessee Tech (Jan. 13), 18 at Western Illinois (Jan. 4), 14 vs. Bethel (Jan. 6), 16 against both Lindenwood (Jan. 11) and SIU Edwardsville (Jan. 20), and 14 at UT Martin (Jan. 25). He is averaging 9.6 points a game as Southeast Missouri's second-leading scorer.

Eight in a Row
Rob Martin pitched in double figures in each of his last eight starts. Martin recently dropped in 10 points at UT Martin (Jan. 25). Martin leads the team with 13 double-digit scoring games this season.

Double-Digit Free Throw Deficits 
Southeast Missouri was outscored, 21-7, at the free throw lin in its latest loss at UT Martin (Jan. 25). It marked the seventh time this season where SEMO was outscored by double figures at the charity stripe. Opponents held a 46-22 (+24) advantage in free throws during the last three games alone.

Earley and Martin Among Top Scorers in Conference Games
Josh Earley ranks 16th and Rob Martin is 17th in the Ohio Valley Conference in scoring in league games this season. Earley averages 14.3 points and Martin averages 14.1 against OVC foes. Martin has scored double figures in all seven of his OVC starts.

3-Pointer Streak
As a team, Southeast Missouri has made at least one 3-pointer in 479 consecutive games. The last time SEMO did not make a 3-pointer was vs. Western Illinois (0-of-6) on Dec. 10, 2008.

About Little Rock
Little Rock is in a five-way tie for second in the Ohio Valley Conference standings. The Trojans along with SIU Edwardsville, Tennessee State, UT Martin and Eastern Illinois are all 4-3 in a log jammed league race. LR recently picked up its 10th win when it beat Lindenwood Thursday. The Trojans are 8-4 at home this season and tie for second in the conference in most home victories. LR is second in the OVC in scoring with 79.6 points per game, but gives up more points with 79.8 points per game allowed as the league's worst scoring defense. Jamir Chaplin ranks fifth in the conference in scoring with 17 points per contest.
