CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -
LaDon Champagnie was named assistant coach and Ryan Strohm was hired as director of operations for the Southeast Missouri men's basketball program ahead of the 2023-24 season.
Champagnie moved to his new assistant coaching position after working as SEMO's director of operations the last two years. He initially joined the Redhawks staff after spending five years as a head boys basketball coach at Bishop DeBourg High School. There, Champagnie was in charge of all facets of the basketball program. He earned Boys Basketball Class 3 District 4 Coach of the Year honors.

Strohm, the brother of SEMOÂ Assistant Director fo Sports Performance Danny Strohm, was a graduate student manager for two years at Kansas State. He will oversee team budgets, coordinate travel plans for away games, supervise managers and provide support to academic programs and other basketball areas among other things in his new role with the Redhawks.
A native of St. Louis, Strohm was a Division III baseball player at Westminster College (2012-14) and Greenville College (2014-16). His father, Joe, is currently Vice President of Ticket Sales for the St. Louis Cardinals.
