EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Southeast Missouri Track & Field looked strong at the SIUE Invite tallying five first place finishes. The Redhawks also racked up a total of 19 top three performances.
Grabbing The Gold
The women's 4x100-meter relay team of Serena Willimas,
Leanza Dwaah,
Daja Gordon, and
Breanna Miles finishes with the gold medal crossing the finish line in 46.04.
Megan Deimeke stood on top of the podium in the women's hammer throw. Deimeke threw for 179' 06" (54.71m).
Sophie Dubis earns the gold medal in the women's high jump placing first with a jump of 1.65m.
The women's 200-meter saw
Leanza Dwaah place first with a dash of 24.51.
The women's 4x400-meter relay team recorded a first-place finish with a time of 3:47.31.
Top Three Placers
Makenzie Pugh finishes in second in the women's 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 12:17.61.
In the men's 3000-meter steeplechase
Jacob Blassingame placed third finishing in 10:13.28.
Luke Collins,
Brenden Parham,
Brock Wood, and Chris Johnson picked up the silver medal in the men's 4x100-meter relay with a time of 42.65.
Layla Fliege placed third in the women's 1500-meter finishing in 4:52.78.
Brock Wood finished with the silver medal in the men's 110-meter hurdles with a run of 15.20.
Laila Harden competed in the women's 400-meter placing second with a time of 56.298.
In the women's hammer throw Mackenzie Williams finished in third place with a throw of 174' 03" (53.11m).
Momoh Brema crossed the finish line in 56.10 in the 400-meter hurdles placing third.
Daja Grodon finished with the silver medal in the women's 800-meter with a time of 24.82.
Marshall Swadley and
Dylan Clark captured the silver and bronze medal in the shot put. Swadley had a mark of 54' 10"(16.71m) and Clark threw for 52' 6.50" (16.01m).
Mason Clogh took the second highest spot on the podium in the high jump. Clough cleared a height of 6' 02" (1.88m).
In the men's hammer throw
Marshall Swadley placed second with a mark of 206' 11" (63.07m) and
Parker Feuerborn placed third throwing the distance of 204' 03" (62.26m).
Notable Achievements
The women's 100-meter hurdles saw
Clara Billing and
Megan Aubuchon place fourth and fifth. Billing finished in 14.55 while Aubuchon crossed the line right behind her in 14.84.
Erika Mellor placed eighth finishing in 59.75 in the women's 400-meter.
In the men's 100-meter,
Momoh Brema placed fourth with a time of 11.10,
Tanner Koontz finished in 11.41 placing eighth, and
Luke Collins placed ninth (11.45).
Brenden Parham finished in 50.16 and placed sixth in the men's 400-meter dash. Parham also placed fourth in the men's 200-meter dash with a run of 22.10.
In the women's 100-meter
Sandrea Cogio crossed the line at 12.93 for a tenth-place finish.
The Redhawks pair of
Brianna Payton and Lilly Early competed in the 800-meter. Payton placed fourth with a time of 2:18.50 while Early finished in eighth (2:25.79).
Louis Primeau placed eighth, notching a time of 2:00.76 in the men's 800-meter.
Brock Wood picked up a fourth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a run of 57.11.
Clay Alewelt had a mark of 49' 6.50" (15.10m) placing fifth and
Quinton Maxwell finished in seventh place with a throw of 46' 6.75" (14.19m) in the men's shot put.
Sarah Russom and
Kayla Vogelsang both ran in the women's 3000-meter. Russom placed sixth with a run of 10:56.54 and Vogelsang finished in tenth (11:11.00).
In the Men's 3000-meter
Seth Gleason finished in seventh place (9:06.79) and Connor Ayers crossed the line at 9:11.18 (9th).
Dylan Clark finished in fourth (60.10m),
Clay Alewelt placed fifth (59.03m), and
Quinton Maxwell placed eighth (44.88m) in the men's hammer throw.

Southeast Missouri Track and Field will be on the road again next weekend for the Georgia Tech Invite Apr. 21st through the 22nd in Atlanta, Georgia.
