Thomason Stands in Third in Heptathlon

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Anna Thomason kick-started a big weekend for Southeast Missouri Track and Field with a strong start in the heptathlon at the Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Open Friday 

Thomason opened the heptathlon winning the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 13.66. In the next two events the high jump and the shot put, she placed sixth in each event with a 5-1.75 mark in the long jump and reached 35-0.5 in the shot put. Thomason finished the day back on the track and finished third in the 200m with a time of 24.36. 

On the day she totaled 3248 points and trails the leader Logan Todorovich from Baylor by 150 points.

Thomason will finish the heptathlon Friday, and her teammates Luis Schladlich and Kannon Harlow will compete as well. The throwers will kick off their meet at the Kip Janvrin and the rest of the team will compete at Arkansas.
