Series History
Tuesday marks the first meeting between Southeast Missouri and William Woods. William Woods is the second non-Division I opponent to visit Cape Girardeau this season.

Happy Thanksgiving
William Woods is the final opponent Southeast Missouri faces before the Thanksgiving holiday. After Tuesday, SEMO will head to the Milwaukee Tournament to play three games over the weekend. The Redhawks face Boston (Nov. 26), UC Davis (Nov. 27) and host Milwaukee (Nov. 28) as part of that event.

Strong 2022-23 Start
The Redhawks won three of their first four games to start the 2022-23 season. Southeast Missouri began the year at 3-0 before recently falling to its first loss at Bradley (Nov. 19). SEMO's 3-0 start was its best since 1999-2000 (5-0).

Missouri Valley Road Swing
Southeast Missouri split a pair of road games against Missouri Valley Conference opponents last week. SEMO beat Evansville, 67-61, on Nov. 16 and dropped a 73-60 decision to Bradley on Nov. 19. The Redhawks close out their non-league schedule against one more MVC opponent (Southern Illinois) on Dec. 21

Russell Sees Double
Point guard Phillip Russell scored double figures in all four games this season. Russell scored 11 points at South Florida (Nov. 7) and Evansville (Nov. 16), dropped in 23 vs. Lyon College (Nov. 12) and 13 at Bradley (Nov. 19). He leads the Redhawks in scoring (14.5 ppg), 3-pointers made (10), assists (16) and steals (10). Russell is tied for fifth in the Ohio Valley Conference in scoring.

Home-Opening Win
With its 83-46 victory over Lyon College (Nov. 12), Southeast Missouri improved to 24-8 all-time in home-openers since joining the NCAA Division I ranks in 1991-92. SEMO opened its home slate with a win for the eighth time in 11 years and posted The Redhawks won their home-opener in their home-opener in five of their last seven seasons.

Largest Win for Korn
Southeast Missouri gave Brad Korn his largest win since he took over as head coach with an 83-46 victory over Lyon College (Nov. 12). The 37-point victory surpassed SEMO's 29-point wins at Eastern Illinois (87-58) and vs. SIU Edwardsville (76-47) last season.

Earley Success
Josh Earley has come off the bench to average 10.3 points and 7.5 rebounds in his first four games as a Redhawk. A transfer from Tulsa, Earley scored double figures in each of his last two contests with 11 points vs. Lyon College (Nov. 12) and 13 at Evansville (Nov. 16). He also had 12 rebounds against Lyon College for his first double-double of the year. Earley enters the weekend ranked third on the team in scoring and second in rebounding.

Rebounding Tandem
Kobe Clark and Josh Earley rank second and third in the Ohio Valley Conference in rebouding with 9.8 and 7.5 rebounds per game, respectively. As a team, Southeast Missouri is second in the league in rebounding offense (39.2 rpg) and rebounding margin (+3.8).

Nice Defense
The Redhawks lead the Ohio Valley Conference in scoring defense through three games this season. Southeast Missouri is allowing just 60.2 points per contest. SEMO held both South Florida (Nov. 7) and Evansville (Nov. 16) to 61 points on the road.

OVC Leader
Southeast Missouri leads the Ohio Valley Conference in scoring defense (60.2 ppg allowed) and 3-point field goal percentage defense (.224). Kobe Clark is tied for first in the league in offensive rebounds (3.5 rpg).

Defending the Three
The Ohio Valley Conference leader in 3-point field goal percentage defense. SEMO's opponents are shooting 19-of-85 from long range this season.

Against Non-Division I
Southeast Missouri ran its winning streak to 32 victories against non-Division I foes with its 83-46 drubbing of Lyon College (Nov. 12). Lyon College is the only non-Division I opponent on SEMO's 31-game schedule this year.
