Scholar-Athlete Honors
Southeast Missouri will recognize its scholar-athletes at halftime of Thursday's game against Jacksonville State. Over 230 SEMO student-athletes achieved a 3.0 or higher GPA during the 2018-19 academic year. The Redhawks also led the Ohio Valley Conference in OVC Medal of Honor recipients (37) and OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll selections (153).
Series History
Jacksonville State leads the all-time series against Southeast Missouri, 17-6. JSU has won each of the last five meetings between these teams. The Gamecocks beat the Redhawks in two-straight trips to Cape Girardeau and are 7-3 in the previous 10 games of the series.
500 in Sight
Both Skyler Hogan and Alex Caldwell are coming up on 500 points in their careers. Hogan enters Thursday's game with 495 points and Caldwell currently stands with 476.Â
Tolbert Clears 300 Rebounds
Southeast Missouri's leading rebounder, Sage Tolbert surpassed 300 rebounds in his career at Eastern Kentucky (Feb. 1). Tolbert pulled down a career-high 17 boards against the Colonels. He has 117 offensive rebounds and 193 defensive boards to date. He is averaging 6.7 rebounds a game this year.
A Look Ahead
Southeast Missouri plays five of its final eight games at home. SEMO hosts Jacksonville State (Feb. 6), Tennessee Tech (Feb. 8), UT Martin (Feb. 13) and SIU Edwardsville (Feb. 15) during its second four-game home stand of the 2019-20 campaign.
Career Game for Tolbert
Forward Sage Tolbert had a career game when he posted a double-double 19 points and 17 rebounds at Eastern Kentucky (Feb. 1). Tolbert's 19 points and 17 rebounds marked new career-highs. He shot 6-of-9 from the field and 7-of-10 at the free throw line en route to his team-high third double-double this season.
Love Produces
Redshirt-freshman Jordan Love scored double figures in each of his last two games. Love made his first career start at Morehead State (Jan. 30). He scored 14 points, hitting four field goals, two 3-pointers and a perfect 4-of-4 free throws in 29 minutes. Love followed that up with 12 points two days later at Eastern Kentucky (Feb. 1).
Redhawk Rewind
Southeast Missouri completed a four-game road stretch with a 70-57 loss to Eastern Kentucky (Feb. 1). SEMO played strong against the Colonels behind a double-double effort from Sage Tolbert. The Redhawks turned the ball over 13 times in the first half, but took care of the ball much better in the second half where it committed five turnovers.
Looking for First OVC Win
Southeast Missouri is searching for its first Ohio Valley Conference win. The Redhawks have lost 15 of their last 16 games. SEMO's last conference victory was 89-74 at home against Tennessee State (Feb. 28, 2019). The Redhawks are currently on a 10-game losing streak, their longest of the season.
First Start for Gable
Isaiah Gable made his first start of the season at Eastern Kentucky (Feb. 1). Gable scored six points, had four rebounds and dished out two assists in 31 minutes. He was part of Southeast Missouri's sixth different starting lineup combination this year
All Twenty-Three
Guard Skyler Hogan and forward Sage Tolbert are the only two players who have started all 23 games for Southeast Missouri this year. Hogan has made 28-straight starts and Tolbert logged 31-consecutive starts dating back to last season.

Jacksonville State currently stands eighth in the Ohio Valley Conference standings. JSU has lost six of its last eight games and brings a two-game losing streak to Cape Girardeau.
