Redhawks Host Purdue Fort Wayne
Southeast Missouri (0-1) hosts Purdue Fort Wayne (1-1) in its home-opener Sunday. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m., CT, at the Show Me Center.

Blues Day at SEMO Basketball
Sunday is Blues Day at SEMO Basketball. The Stanley Cup Champion St. Louis Blues mascot, Louie, will make a visit to the Show Me Center. Redhawks/Blues combo scarfs will also be given away.

Series History
Southeast Missouri and Purdue Fort Wayne meet for the fourth time in 2019-20. SEMO is 1-2 in its series against the Mastodons. The teams meet for the first time in 13 years. Purdue Fort Wayne won the last matchup by a score of 84-65 in Cape Girardeau on Nov. 29, 2006. SEMO and Purdue Fort Wayne play in Cape Girardeau for the third time this year.  

Home-Openers
The Redhawks are 22-6 all-time in home-openers since joining the NCAA Division I ranks in 1991-92. Southeast Missouri opened its home slate with a win in six of the last seven years and posted victories in 13 of its last 16 home-opening dates. The Redhawks have won three-straight home-openers under head coach Rick Ray.

Redhawks Drop 2019-20 Opener
Southeast Missouri dropped its 2019-20 season-opener by a score of 83-65 at Southeastern Conference member Vanderbilt (Nov. 6). SEMO outrebounded the Commodores, 38-35, outscored VU, 42-30, inside the paint, 12-9, at the free throw line and, 17-4, in second chance points. The Redhawks were also tied with VU at halftime. SEMO fell to 10-19 in season-opening games during its NCAA Division I era.

Ray vs. Purdue Fort Wayne
Southeast Missouri's Rick Ray faces Purdue Fort Wayne for the first time in his head coaching career. Ray is 0-3 all-time against Indiana schools with a 0-2 record vs. Evansville and a 0-1 mark vs. Indiana.

Division I Debuts
Three players, including guard Chris Harris, forward Darrious Agnew and guard DQ Nicholas made their NCAA Division I debuts at Vanderbilt (Nov. 6). Harris led the Redhawks with 15 points on 6-of-9 field goals, 2-of-3 three-pointers and 1-of-2 free throws in 28 minutes off the bench. Nicholas scored five points in 16 minutes and Agnew added six in 10 minutes. 

First Career Starts
Forward Quatarrius Wilson and guard Oscar Kao made their first career starts for Southeast Missouri at Vanderbilt (Nov. 6). Wilson recorded a double-double 12 points and 13 rebounds, while Kao had two rebounds in 12 minutes.

Mr. Double-Double
Quatarrius Wilson registered the 15th double-double of his college career and first in a Southeast Missouri uniform when he finished with 12 points and 13 rebounds at Vanderbilt (Nov. 6). Wilson previously had a Southland Conference leading 14 double-doubles during the 2017-18 season at McNeese State. He is one of four Ohio Valley Conference players to get a double-double during the first week of the 2019-20 season. 

Welcome to Division I Basketball
Six of the 15 players on Southeast Missouri's 2019-20 roster never played NCAA Division I basketball. DQ Nicholas, Jordan Love, Chris Harris, Evan Morrison, Jakob Medina and Darrious Agnew formed that group entering the year. Nicholas, Harris and Agnew each played in their first game at the NCAA Division I level at Vanderbilt (Nov. 6).

Season 113
Southeast Missouri is in its 113th season of basketball. This year marks SEMO's 29th as an NCAA Division I program. The Redhawks are 336-482 all-time at the Division I level. SEMO joined the Division I ranks in 1991-92.

About Purdue Fort Wayne
Purdue Fort Wayne is off to a 1-1 start this young season. The Mastodons dropped their season-opener on the road at UNLV, 86-71, before picking up their first victory at home against Manchester, 91-80. Purdue Fort Wayne faces Southeast MIssouri in Cape Girardeau for the third time in its series history. Three players are averaging double figures in the scoring column. Jarred Godfrey leads the Mastodons with 22 points a game, while Matt Holba and Dylan Carl follow with 13 and 11.5 points per contest, respectively.
