Series History
In-state schools Southeast Missouri and Missouri S&T meet for the 135th time Friday. SEMO leads the all-time series, 103-31. The Redhawks 103 wins against the Miners are their most against any opponent in their basketball history. SEMO has won each of the last 13 meetings between these teams and beat the Miners 12-straight games at the Show Me Center. The Redhawks defeated Missouri S&T, 72-69, during the last matchup on Nov. 27, 2018 in Cape Girardeau.

Against Non-Division I
Missouri S&T is one of two non-Division I opponents on Southeast Missouri's schedule this season. The Redhawks also face NAIA affiliate Missouri Baptist in their final non-conference game on Dec. 29. SEMO has a 28-game winning streak against non-Division I foes.

Long Road Stretch Ahead
After Friday's game against Missouri S&T, Southeast Missouri will not be at home for over a month. The Redhawks make their first trip to the Cable Car Classic (Nov. 27, 29 & 30) in Santa Clara, California over Thanksgiving next week. SEMO then heads to Abilene Christian (Dec. 5), Drake (Dec. 7), Youngstown State (Dec. 15), #9 Ohio State (Dec. 17) and Southern Illinois (Dec. 21). The Redhawks' next home game is after Christmas when they host Missouri Baptist (Dec. 29).

Harris to Miss Friday's Game
Guard Chris Harris will not play in Friday's game against MIssouri S&T due to a knee injury. Harris sustained his injury during practice prior to Southeast Missouri's matchup with The Citadel (Nov. 19). He also missed that contest. Harris leads the Redhawks in scoring (15.5 ppg), field goal percentage (.600), 3-pointers made (5) and 3-point field goal percentage (.714).

Nicholas Drops in 24
Freshman guard DQ Nicholas became the first Southeast Missouri player to score over 20 points in a game when he dropped in a game-high 24 against The Citadel (Nov. 19). Nicholas  made 9-of-16 field goals and 5-of-6 free throws. He ranks second on the team with 12.3 points per game and leads the Redhawks with 37 total points. Nicholas also ranks 15th in the Ohio Valley Conference in scoring, 11th in field goal percentage (.591) and fourth in free throw percentage (.900).

Wilson Tops OVC in Rebounding
Forward Quatarrius Wilson enters the weekend ranked first in the Ohio Valley Conference in rebounding with 9.3 per game. Wilson is also averaging 10.3 points through three starts. He had a double-double 12 points and 13 rebounds at Vanderbilt (Nov. 6) and followed that up with 11 points and eight rebounds vs. Purdue Fort Wayne (Nov. 10), and eight points and seven boards vs. The Citadel (Nov. 19).

Career-High for Caldwell
Alex Caldwell dished out a career-high six assists vs. The Citadel (Nov. 19). Caldwell leads the team with nine dishes through three starts. He averages a team-high 31.7 minutes per game and ranks sixth in the Ohio Valley Conference in that category.

3-Point Difference
Southeast Missouri has made just 15 three-pointers for an average of five per game through its first three contests. Its opponents have knocked down 35 for an average of 11.7. SEMO ranks 10th in the Ohio Valley Conference in 3-point percentage with a 29.4 percent clip. Meanwhile, its opponents are shooting 38.9 percent (35-of-90). The Redhawks are attempting 17 threes per game.

Last Time Out
Southeast Missouri will look to bounce back from a 74-69 loss to The Citadel (Nov. 19) earlier this week. Freshman DQ Nicholas, who scored 24 points, made a layup to get SEMO within one (71-70) with 19 seconds left to play. After Kaelon Harris split a pair of free throws, Nicholas turned the ball over seven seconds later. Harris then made two more free throws to secure the win for the Bulldogs. It was the second-straight game decided in the final seconds for the Redhawks. SEMO made a 3-pointer with 27 seconds remaining to beat Purdue Fort Wayne (Nov. 10) nine days earlier.
