Quatarrius Wilson turned in a double-double 11 points and 11 rebounds and
Sage Tolbert and
Alex Caldwell each added 12 points to lead Southeast Missouri to a 73-56 exhibition win over Lincoln University Saturday night at the Show Me Center.
SEMO shot just under 50 percent (.491) from the field and outrebounded LU by a +18 margin (48-30).
SEMO opened the game on a 17-3 run and never looked back against the NCAA Division II Blue Lions. Freshman
DQ Nicholas scored five points to key the surge that ended on a pair of
Quatarrius Wilson free throws with 13:27 left to play in the first half.
The Redhawks later built a 38-27 halftime lead behind 10 points from Caldwell and seven from
DQ Nicholas in the opening stanza.
SEMO tacked on 35 more points in the game's final 20 minutes to finish off LU.
Twelve of the 13 Redhawks who played scored points. All but four of Wilson's points came at the free throw line where he went 7-of-11. Tolbert shot a near-perfect 6-of-7 from the floor and pulled down five rebounds. Meanwhile, Caldwell made 5-of-8 field goals, buried a pair of 3-pointers and grabbed five boards.
