Series History
Southeast Missouri leads its all-time series against Belmont by a count of 15-9.. Last season, the Bruins beat the Redhawks in the final two games of the series. Game two lasted 12 innings and ended on a walk-off single by the Bruins.

Redhawks OVC Series
Southeast is currently 15-9 in the Ohio Valley Conference and has won five of its seven conference series this season. The Redhawks presently stand tied for fourth in the league standings behind Tennessee Tech (19-2), Morehead State and Eastern Kentucky (14-7). Southeast has swept two teams this season, including SIU Edwardsville and Murray State. The Redhawks ended Tennessee Tech's 28-game winning streak in Cookeville on Apr. 29.

Free Tailgate
The final free tailgate of the 2018 season is Friday starting at 6 p.m. CT. This week's sponsors are Cape Kiwanis and River Eagle Distributing. 

Graduation and Senior Day
Southeast will hold its commencement ceremony Saturday afternoon. The Redhawks will then hold their senior day Sunday. Southeast's six seniors and their families will be recognized prior to first pitch. The Redhawks senior day is sponsored by Chateau Girardeau.

Free Clinic
After Sunday's game against Belmont, the Redhawks will host a FREE youth clinic open to all children grades 1-8. The clinic will be held at Capha Field.

Total Bases 
Southeast has 682 total bases this season. Justin Dirden leads the team with 115, while Trevor Ezell (104) and Tristen Gagan (91) follow. Ezell has 345 total bases in his career to date and Gagan has 209.  

Last Five Games
In the last five games, Justin Dirden has had six hits with two doubles and a home run. Dirden recorded seven RBI during that time. The Redhawks have recorded 43 hits since their win at Tennessee Tech on Apr. 29. Cody Creed recorded a 0.00 ERA in 4.1 innings on the mound. He allowed no runs in his two appearances. Joey Burris registered a 1.69 ERA in 5.1 innings of work with four strikeouts with no extra base hits. 

Midweek Play
Southeast will head to Georgia Tech for its final midweek contest on May 15. The Redhawks are 0-7 in midweek road games and 3-8 in midweek play overall. The three wins came against Saint Louis (2) and McKendree. Southeast snapped a six-game losing streak in midweek games when it beat Saint Louis, 4-2, on Apr. 4. It was the Redhawks first midweek win of the season. 

Redhawks Field Cleanly
There are two Redhawks currently with a 1.000 fielding percentage. Alex Canty and Peyton Faulkner have no errors through 47 games this season. Faulkner has 46 putouts with no errors in 29 outfield starts. Meanwhile, Alex Canty has only played defense in four games this season, but has five putouts and 12 assists. Wade Stauss has a .996 fielding percentage on 225 putouts with one error. Tristen Gagan owns a .995 fielding percentage on 368 putouts and just two errors.

Hot Bats
The Redhawks have 457 hits and 281 RBI in 2018. Southeast averages under six runs a game on just under 10 hits. Trevor Ezell leads the team with 75 hits, which is fourth in the Ohio Valley Conference. Justin Dirden leads the Redhawks with 59 RBI this season. Southeast has 89 doubles and 40 home runs, as well.

Home Run Count
Southeast has 40 home runs this season. The Redhawks hit a home run in 26 games this year. Justin Dirden leads the team with 13 round-trippers. The Redhawks had a season-high four home runs at Austin Peay (Mar. 31).  Alex Canty hit four home runs in his 40 at-bats this season. 

Ranked in the OVC (As of May 9, 2018)
Southeast ranks fourth in the Ohio Valley Conference with a 15-9 record. The Redhawks lead the league in hit by pitch (63) and ERA (4.77), and rank second in opposing batting average (.266). The team is tied for first in runs allowed (252), earned runs allowed (216), and home runs allowed (32). Southeast stands second in the league with a .972 fielding percentage and fielding double plays (42).

Individuals: Trevor Ezell is third in batting average (.393) and fourth in hits (75). Ezell is also tied for second in triples (3). Justin Dirden has a .673 slugging percentage which is good for fifth in the conference. Dirden is also tied for fourth in runs batted in (59) and sixth in home runs (13). Three Redhawks are currently ranked in doubles, including Chase Urhahn (4th, 18), Dirden (t7th, 16) and Tristen Gagan (t7th, 16). Peyton Faulkner leads the league in hit by pitch (17) and is tied for first with a 1.000 fielding percentage. Connor Basler tops the OVC with 131 assists, Gagan rates third in putouts (368) and chances (399). Carlos Vega leads the conference with a 1.82 ERA and an opposing batting average of .213. Vega has allowed one home run all season which puts him in first. He also ranks second in hits allowed (42) and runs allowed (15). Aaron Stretch has appeared in 21 relief games and is sixth among individual leaders. 

Southeast Ranks Nationally (As of May 9, 2018)
Trevor Ezell ranks 19th in batting average (.393), 14th in hits (75), and 14th in hits per game (1.63). Justin Dirden ranks 28th with a .673 slugging percentage. Dirden is also tied for ninth in RBI per game (1.26) and RBI (59),  tied for 29th in home runs (13) and tied for 46th in home runs per game (0.28). Chase Urhahn is tied for 21st in doubles (18) and tied for 25th in doubles per game (0.40). Peyton Faulkner is tied for 19th in hit by pitch (17) and stands 15th in hit by pitch per game (0.40). Tristen Gagan is tied for 46th with 49 RBI. Carlos Vega has a 1.82 ERA which puts him at 26th in the nation. As a team, the Redhawks rank nationally in double plays (t35th, 412), double plays per game (t43rd, .89), and hit by pitch (t49th, 63).

On Deck
Southeast closes out its regular season with four games on the road. The Redhawks visit Georgia Tech on May 15 and head to Eastern Kentucky for their final series May 17-19. Southeast's final series will by played on Thursday, Friday and Saturday this week.
