Biography

2017: Compiled a 2-1 record in 20 appearances and one start…Tied for third on the team with two saves…Recorded 25 strikeouts in 30.1 innings and combined on one shutout…Struck out a season-high four in four no-hit, shutout relief innings to earn his first win of the season at Eastern Illinois (4/9)…Worked two innings in his only start at Arkansas State (4/4)…Pitched 1.1 shutout innings of relief to get the win at Western Michigan (5/6)…Earned both of his saves in Ohio Valley Conference play, vs. Jacksonville State (4/13) and Tennessee Tech (4/29)...OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll selection and Southeast Scholar-Athlete.

2016: Made three appearances on the season…Threw 1.0 inning vs. Ole Miss (3/8) Southeast Scholar-Athlete.  

2015: Made only one appearance  the season at Alcorn State (2/19)…OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll selection… Southeast Scholar-Athlete.

2014: Redshirted. 

Prep: Played three seasons as an infielder and pitcher at Pinckneyville Community High School…Was named team MVP and Silver Slugger Award winner… Earned first team all conference honors and was named to the Southern Illinois Baseball Coaches All-Stars team in 2013…Also ran cross country three years of high school…Played trumpet in the jazz and marching bands all four years of high school…Eagle Scout and Illinois State Scholar.
