Series History
Southeast Missouri and Quincy hook up for the 16th time this season. The Redhawks own a 9-6 advantage in the series which dates all the way back to 1968-69. SEMO won each of the last three matchups with the Hawks. The teams last met just before the Redhawks made the jump to Division I on Jan. 5, 1991. SEMO won that game, 96-81, in Quincy, Illinois. The Redhawks are 5-2 against the Hawks in Cape Girardeau.

Home-Openers
The Redhawks are 20-6 all-time in home-openers since joining the NCAA Division I ranks in 1991-92. Southeast Missouri opened its home slate with a win in five of the last six years and posted victories in 12 of its last 15 home-opening dates.

Non-Division I
Southeast Missouri welcomes NCAA Division II Quincy for its home-opener Monday. Quincy is a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Looking for First Win
The Redhawks opened the season with back-to-back road losses. Southeast Missouri dropped both of those contests by double figures, losing, 75-65, at Preseason Atlantic 10 favorite Saint Louis (Nov. 6) and, 68-75, at Bradley (Nov. 10). Monday's matchup marks the start of the Redhawks 13-game home slate.

Last Time Out
Southeast Missouri fell to Missouri Valley Conference member Bradley, 68-57, on Nov. 10. Freshman Sage Tolbert led the Redhawks with 13 points and eight rebounds in his first double-digit performance at SEMO. The Redhawks shot just 31.6 percent (18-of-57) from the field and 17.4 percent (4-of-23) from 3-point range. After SEMO pulled within five points on two occasions in the second half, the Braves used a 18-8 run to put the game away. It was SEMO's 300th game against a MVC opponent.

Return to the Show Me Center
Former Southeast Missouri guard Robby Dosier is in his third season with the Quincy University basketball program. Dosier played in 16 games and made one start as a Redhawk in one season at SEMO. He was part of the roster during Rick Ray's first season as the Redhawks head coach in 2015-16. Dosier played in 26 games and made 23 three-pointers with Quincy last season.

Brewer Leads the Way
Ledarrius Brewer began the season with a team-high 18 points against Saint Louis (Nov. 6). Brewer shot 7-of-17 from the field, knocked down a pair of 3-pointers, made two free throws and grabbed seven rebounds in a team-best 33 minutes. He dished out two assists and collected two steals, as well. Brewer followed that performance up with 11 points and eight rebounds at Bradley (Nov. 10). He finished as Southeast Missouri's top scorer for the eighth time in his career and recorded his 24th career double figure scoring game.

Non-Conference Play
The Redhawks have 15 non-conference wins with Rick Ray as their head coach. Southeast Missouri's most non-conference victories in a season under Ray stand at six during both the 2016-17 and 2017-18 campaigns. SEMO is looking to end a four-game losing streak against non-conference schools. Its last non-league win was on the road against a Missouri Valley Conference opponent in Southern Illinois (75-69, Dec. 9, 2017).

Scoring Streak
Sophomore guard Ledarrius Brewer has scored in 22-consecutive starts dating back to last season. Brewer scored double figures in 10-straight games and 20 of his previous 22.

About Quincy
Quincy is off to a 1-1 start this 2018-19 season. The Hawks beat Cedarville University, 69-53, and dropped a 91-86 decision to Findlay. Marcus Hinton led QU with 19 points against Cedarville and five players scored double figures in its recent loss to Findlay. Demetrius Houston pitched in 19 points to lead the Hawks in that game.

On the Rebound
Point guard Jonathan Dalton and center Mark Laros are coming up on 100 rebounds in their Southeast Missouri careers. Dalton (97) needs three more, while Laros (96) needs four to hit that mark.

Up Next
Southeast Missouri plays three games in four days at the South Alabama Tournament prior to Thanksgiving on Nov. 16-19. SEMO faces Jacksonville (Nov. 16), Chattanooga (Nov. 17) and host South Alabama (Nov. 19) at the event.
