Redhawks Start OVC West Division Play
Southeast Missouri (7-12, 2-2) opens Ohio Valley Conference West Division play when it visits UT Martin (11-8, 1-3) Saturday. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m., CT, at the Elam Center.

Redhawks Hand Tennessee Tech First OVC Loss
Southeast handed Tennessee Tech its first Ohio Valley Conference loss when it held on for an 83-78 win at the Show Me Center Tuesday. The Redhawks led, 71-55, with 6:26 remaining when TTU went on an 18-4 run to pull to within two. Southeast, however, made six free throws in the final 1:38 to come away with the victory.
Clutch Shooting
Three different Redhawks went to the free throw line and made all of their attempts in the last 1:38 to nail down their latest 83-75 win over Tennessee Tech (Jan. 10).
Daniel Simmons (1:38),
Antonius Cleveland (:35) and
Tahj Eaddy (:04) each made two free throws during that crucial stretch. The Redhawks made a season-high 25-of-30 free throws and shot over 80 percent at the charity stripe for the eighth time this year.
Hot Redhawks
Southeast shot over 60 percent from the field for the first time this season when it finished with a .605 (26-of-43) clip against Tennessee Tech (Jan. 10). The Redhawks heated up to shoot 61.5 percent (16-of-26) in the first half en route to building their largest halftime lead (46-34) this year. Southeast last shot over 60 percent in a game vs. Tennessee State (.653) on Jan. 11, 2014. The Redhawks have finished with a .500 or better field goal percentage in four of their last five contests.
Home Winning Streak
With its 83-75 win over Tennessee Tech (Jan. 10), Southeast ran its winning streak to three games at the Show Me Center. The Redhawks closed out December with an 89-75 win over Henderson State (Dec. 29) and an 81-48 Ohio Valley Conference opening victory over Eastern Kentucky (Dec. 31) prior to that contest. Southeast improved to 6-2 at home this season.

Cleveland shot 75 percent (18-of-24) in those two starts combined.
