Tennis Travels to Carbondale Sunday

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -- The Southeast Missouri women's tennis team will compete in the Carbondale Invitational on Sunday, beginning at 9 a.m., CT.
"We are looking forward to some tough competition this weekend," said head coach Mary Beth Gunn. "Our focus going in is to play high percentage tennis by making smart shot selections."
The tournament will consist of five teams, including host Southern Illinois, Arkansas State, Eastern Illinois and Western Illinois. There will be five doubles brackets and 10 singles brackets.
SEMO is off to a strong start this fall season. Isabella Krupa, Oleksandra Doroshenko, Kseniya Zonova and Anais Emelie all have four doubles victories through the first two tournaments. Zonova and Ana Canahuate-Torres each have two singles wins to lead the squad.
