Looking Back
Southeast Missouri women's basketball defeated Hannibal-LaGrange Monday evening at the Show Me Center, 99-52, for the first win of the season. Of the eight Redhawks who played on Monday, six scored double-digit points while the other two either had double-digit assists or rebounds. Deja Jones picked up a career-high 24 points in the game to lead the team. It was the second 20-point game of her career. Hannah Noe, Hilma Mededovic, and Iyanna McCurdy all scored 14 points while Mandy Madden and Bri Mitchell registered 10. Sophomore point guard Adrianna Murphy dished out a career-best 14 assists while Lakyn Gulley pulled in 12 rebounds. Murphy finished just shy of a triple-double, finishing with nine rebounds and seven points. As a team, Southeast shot 41-of-66 from the field (62.1%), and 7-of-15 from beyond the arc (46.7%). The Redhawks outrebounded the Trojans, 48-31.

adidas® OVC Player of the Week
Redshirt-senior Olivia Hackmann was named the adidas® OVC Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday morning. Hackmann drained a career-high 29 points in Southeast's season opener against Cincinnati on Friday. She went 12-for-19 from the field, which was also a career best. Hackmann hit a trio of 3-pointers en route to her career night. Additionally, she pulled in 12 rebounds to record her first career double-double. The Chamois, Missouri native's 29 points was the most by a Redhawk in a single game since Sonya Daugherty put up 31 against Murray State on Feb. 19, 2009. This is Hackmann's first OVC weekly honor as she becomes the first Player of the Week since her former teammate Patricia Mack earned the honor on Feb. 25, 2014.

Come Fly With Us!
Rekha Patterson announced the signing of 6-1 forward Kennedi Allen to the 2017-18 roster during the early signing period. Allen signs to Southeast from Little Rock Central High in Little Rock, Arkansas where she is a three-year letterwinner and senior captain for the Tigers and head coach Michael Green. She is the daughter of Cornelius and LaRonica Allen.
