Women's Basketball Announces Two New Additions to Coaching Staff

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri Women's Basketball has announced the addition of two new assistant coaches who will join the program for the 2026-27 season, the team released on Tuesday. Regina Garrett and Lexxus Graham will round out third year head coach Briley Palmer's staff for the upcoming season. 
 
Regina Garrett – Dallas, Texas – Previous School: South Carolina State
Regina Garrett (Coach G) will serve as an assistant coach for the Redhawks after spending the last three seasons at South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, S.C. 
 
Prior to her time in South Carolina, Garrett worked at nearby Moberly Area Community College (MACC) in Moberly, Missouri for two seasons. While she was there, MACC held a 55-10 overall record and a 22-5 mark in region play. She recruited and coached nine All-Region selections, one NJCAA First Team All-American, one WBCA All-American, and one WBCA All-American Honorable Mention.
 
She helped the program amass two NJCAA National tournament berths (2022 & 2023) and achieve the 2023 MCCAC and Region 16 Regular Season Championships and the 2023 Region 16 and Central District Tournament Championships.
 
Garrett began her coaching career as the assistant Coach at Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute (2020-2021) in Hudson, NC. She previously served as a graduate assistant coach at the University of Virginia where she worked under WNBA Hall of Famer, Tina Thompson, following her playing career at SC State (2016-2018).
 
A native of Dallas, Texas, Regina graduated from South Carolina State with a Bachelor of Science (201-8) and earned a Master's in Education from the University of Virigina (2020). 
 
Lexxus Graham – Winchester, Ky. – Previous School: Western Kentucky
The 2026-27 campaign will mark the first season for new assistant coach Lexxus Graham after she spent last season at Western Kentucky in Bowling Green, Ky. for the Hilltoppers. 
 
Prior to her time with WKU, Graham served as an assistant coach for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons at Bowling Green State University. During her two seasons with Bowling Green, the Falcons won 34 games and finished in the top half of the Mid-American Conference in both seasons. Bowling Green was selected for the WNIT in 2023-24. At Wittenberg, she was part of a staff that was named the North Coast Athletic Conference's Coaching Staff of the Year after claiming a share of the NCAS championship with a league record of 13-1. 
 
Before joining the Falcons, she was an assistant coach at Wittenberg University in 2022-23 and the Director of Basketball Operations at Bellarmine University in 2021-22. She also served as an assistant coach at Georgetown College in 2020-21. Her coaching career began as an assistant coach at George Rogers Clark High School, coaching alongside her father, Robbie Graham.
 
The Winchester, Kentucky native played women's basketball collegiately at Campbellsville University where she played in over 130 career games. She knocked down 173 3-pointers during her career and swiped 227 career steals. As a senior she was named to the Mid-South Conference All-Academic Team. The Tigers went 117-25 during her career and were the NAIA national runner-up her freshman season. The team advanced to the Sweet 16, Elite Eight, and Final Four over her final three seasons.
