Series HistorySoutheast travels to Alabama A&M on the backend of a home-and-home series. The Redhawks' largest win over an NCAA Division I opponent last season came against AAMU. Southeast beat the Bulldogs, 85-51, on Nov. 29, 2014 in Cape Girardeau. The Redhawks are 2-0 all-time against AAMU. They also defeated the Bulldogs, 85-74, at a neutral site in 1984-85.
Against the SWACAlabama A&M is the lone Southwestern Athletic Conference opponent on Southeast's schedule this season. The Redhawks are currently 6-4 all-time against the SWAC, having faced AAMU (2-0), Alcorn State (1-0), Jackson State (2-0), Prairie View A&M (1-0), Mississippi Valley State (0-3) and Grambling State (0-1) during their basketball history.
Tough Opening WeekendSoutheast opened its 2015-16 season on the road at Dayton (Nov. 13) and Evansville (Nov. 15), two NCAA Tournament caliber teams. Dayton, this year's preseason Atlantic 10 favorite is off to a 2-0 start after beating both Southeast (84-53) and Alabama (80-48) by over 30 points. Evansville, which was picked second in the Missouri Valley Conference Preseason Poll, is also 2-0 on the young season.

Kellum and Coleman ReturnForwards
Trey Kellum and

Thursday will be Kellum's first college game since Mar. 13, 2014 when he scored two points in 13 minutes vs. Morgan State. He sat out the 2014-15 season due to NCAA Division I transfer regulations after playing two years at Florida A&M.

Southeast was outrebounded, 99-66 (-16.5 margin) and shot just 40 percent (18-45) at the free throw line in its first two contests. The Redhawks, who went 10-of-22 at the charity stripe at Evansville (Nov. 15), are 12th in the Ohio Valley Conference in free throw percentage and 11th in rebounding margin.
