Box Score Final StatisticsJACKSONVILLE, Ala. – Southeast Missouri (8-10, 2-3) made a season-high nine three-pointers and ended a two-game losing streak with a commanding 69-52 victory over Jacksonville State (8-11, 1-4) Wednesday night at Pete Mathews Coliseum.

Southeast, which had three players finish with double figures in the scoring column, led the entire game en route to securing its largest Ohio Valley Conference win this year.

"We played with extreme confidence and intensity tonight," said Southeast head coach
Dickey Nutt. "I was pleased with how we played offensively and defensively. We never let up."

Southeast wasted no time jumping out to a quick 8-0 lead in the first 2:04 of the game.
Isiah Jones and
Antonius Cleveland each knocked down a three-pointer on their first shot attempt and
Nino Johnson followed with two free throws.

A layup by
J.J. Thompson pushed the Redhawks lead to 13-4 before JSU managed to make it a one-possession game (15-12) when Darion Rackley buried a three with 12:29 left to play.

Jamaal Calvin later came off the bench and made a pair of three-pointers, his second giving Southeast a 25-18 advantage at the 5:21 mark.

Southeast then went scoreless for the next 3:23 while the Gamecocks pulled to within three again.

Immediately after Avery Moore made it a 25-22 game with 3:08 remaining, Jones answered with back-to-back layups to grab the Redhawks a 29-22 lead at the break.

Southeast shot over 40 percent (.407) from the field and sank five three-pointers in the first half, while JSU shot just 24 percent.Â

The Redhawks continued to pour it on in the second half, scoring the first five points to open a double-digit lead. Jones made a layup and
Jarekious Bradley nailed a three to give Southeast a 34-22 lead.

D.J. Felder's layup narrowed Southeast's lead to nine (35-26), but that was the last time JSU would get within single digits.

Aaron Adeoye's free throws gave the Redhawks their biggest lead of the night at 55-36 with 8:34 left to play before polishing off the win.

Southeast won back-to-back games in its series against JSU for the first time. Tonight's win was also the Redhawks second at Pete Mathews Coliseum. The last time Southeast beat the Gamecocks on their homecourt was Dec. 19, 2010 (76-67).
Bradley and Calvin led all Southeast scorers with 13 points each. Three of Bradley's five field goals came from beyond the arc. He had seven rebounds, as well.

Meanwhile, Calvin shot 3-of-4 from downtown and made a perfect 4-of-4 free throws. Additionally, he went without a turnover in 25 minutes.

Adeoye followed with 10 points and a flawless 4-of-4 effort at the free throw line.

Johnson added nine points and a game and season-high 12 rebounds. It was Johnson's fourth double-digit rebound performance this year.

Rackley led JSU with 15 points. JSU, which is last in the OVC in three-point field goal percentage, shot 29.1 percent (3-of-14) from three.

Southeast returns home to host Tennessee Tech during Hall of Fame Weekend Saturday. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m., CT, at the Show Me Center.
