OVC East DivisionSoutheast faces its fifth Ohio Valley Conference East Division opponent when it visits Jacksonville State. Each of the Redhawks first six league games are against OVC East Division foes. Southeast is currently 1-3 vs. that side of the conference.
Series HistoryJacksonville State owns a 12-5 lead in its all-time series against Southeast. The Redhawks are going for their second-straight win in the series after beating the Gamecocks, 87-70, in Cape Girardeau a year ago. Southeast has never won back-to-back games against JSU in the series which originated in 2003-04.
Johnson Breaks Career Blocks RecordSenior forward
Nino Johnson broke Southeast's all-time career blocks record when he had two swats against Eastern Kentucky (Jan. 10). Johnson, who currently has 157 in his career, surpassed William "Bud" Eley (156 blocks, 1995-99) for the new mark. He leads the Redhawks and ranks second in the Ohio Valley Conference with 37 blocks in 17 starts this year.
At Pete Mathews ColiseumWednesday marks the eighth meeting between Southeast and Jacksonville State at Pete Mathews Coliseum. The Redhawks are 1-6 all-time on the Gamecocks homecourt. Southeast's only win over JSU in Jacksonville was a 76-67 victory on Dec. 19, 2010. The Gamecocks (7-1) are presently tied for first in the Ohio Valley Conference in home wins this season.
Bradley Leads the Nation in Free Throw PercentageJarekious Bradley leads the nation in free throw percentage after going a perfect 18-of-18 in his first four Ohio Valley Conference games. Bradley has missed only three times at the charity stripe this season, knocking down 46-of-49 attempts. He boasts a .939 free throw percentage and enters Wednesday's game with a career-long streak of 30-consecutive free throws made. Bradley's last miss was with 6:30 left vs. Southern Illinois on Dec. 10.

Keep it GoingJarekious Bradley's streak of 30-consecutive free throws made this season is the longest of any Ohio Valley Conference player. Bradley's streak is also the longest by a Southeast player since
Lucas Nutt made 22 in a row during the 2010-11 campaign. The OVC record for most consecutive free throws made in a season is 46 by Glen Napier of Morehead State in 1981-82.
Last Time OutSoutheast went without a field goal in the last 8:08 of its recent 68-55 loss to Ohio Valley Conference East Division leader Eastern Kentucky (Jan. 10). The Redhawks, who trailed by five (55-50), fell victim to a decisive 13-0 run in the final six minutes of the game. Southeast went a stretch of 5:32 where it did not score.

Isiah Jones has gone three-straight games with double figures in the scoring column. Jones scored 13 points at Tennessee State (Jan. 3), a season-high 20 vs. Morehead State (Jan. 8) and 10 vs. Eastern Kentucky (Jan. 10). He shot 46.8 percent (15-of-32) from the field, knocked down eight threes and grabbed 18 rebounds in those three starts combined. Jones raised his scoring average from 5.9 to 7.4 points per game this month alone.
Adeoye Plays StrongAaron Adeoye posted his sixth double-digit effort of the season when he scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds in 34 minutes against Eastern Kentucky (Jan. 10). Adeoye made 5-of-9 field goals, had three blocks and collected a steal, as well. His 12 points surpassed the point total (7) in his previous three games combined.
Three-Point NoteJacksonville State is last in the Ohio Valley Conference in three-point field goal percentage (.286), but is second in the league defending the three. Opponents are shooting just .310 (86-of-277) beyond the arc against the Gamecocks this year. Meanwhile, Southeast is 11th in the OVC in three-point field goal percentage (.302) and 12th in three-point field goal percentage defense (.405).
Road UpdateSoutheast ended a five-game losing streak on the road when it beat Tennessee State, 77-62, on Jan. 3. The Redhawks improved to 2-7 away from Cape Girardeau this season and recorded their first road win since defeating Central Arkansas, 74-68, on Nov. 22. Southeast won three of its last four Ohio Valley Conference road games.
Starting StreakNino Johnson has started in 23-consecutive games dating back to last season, presently the longest streak among active players. Johnson scored double figures 13 times and pulled down double-digit rebounds on five occasions during that stretch. The last time Johnson wasn't in the starting lineup was vs. UT Martin on Feb. 12, 2014.
Block PartySoutheast enters the week as the Ohio Valley Conference leader in blocked shots. The Redhawks, who have 78 swats in 17 games, are averaging 4.6 per contest.
Nino Johnson leads Southeast and ranks second in the league behind Austin Peay's Chris Horton (39) with 37 blocks.
About Jacksonville StateJacksonville State suffered its first home loss of the season at the hands of red-hot Murray State on Jan. 11. JSU lost six of its last seven games. The Gamecocks also played three overtime contests this season. Darion Rackley leads the team with 15.1 points per game and is coming off a career-high 28 points off the bench against Murray State. Rackley is sixth in the Ohio Valley Conference in scoring. JSU is currently the league's worst three-point shooting team, making 103-of-360 shots for just 28.6 percent.
