Two in a RowThe Redhawks carry a two-game winning streak to Ohio this week after beating Hannibal-LaGrange (Nov. 18) at home and Central Arkansas (Nov. 22) on the road. Southeast did not trail for the entire 40 minutes during its latest 74-68 win over the Bears. Additionally, the Redhawks averaged just 61 points per game in their first two contests of the season, but regrouped to score 80 per game during the winning streak.
Twenty-TwentyJarekious Bradley and
Nino Johnson each scored 20 points to key Southeast's win over Southland Conference opponent Central Arkansas (Nov. 22). Bradley scored the Redhawks first five points of the game, made seven field goals and knocked down a perfect 4-of-4 at the free throw line in a team-high 35 minutes. Johnson hit 9-of-15 from the field, pulled down nine rebounds and had three blocks in 34 minutes. It marked the first time this season where Southeast had two 20-point scorers in a game.
Cleveland Notches Double-DoubleAntonius Cleveland registered his first career double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds against Central Arkansas (Nov. 22). Cleveland shot 50 percent (6-of-12) from the field and grabbed four of his rebounds on the offensive end. His 11 boards marked a career-high. He is the second Redhawk (along with
Aaron Adeoye) to get a double-double this season.
Block PartySoutheast's leading shot-blocker,
Nino Johnson gathered at least two swats in three of his first four starts this year. Johnson currently has eight blocks and ranks tied for fifth among Ohio Valley Conference leaders in that category.
Defense ImprovesThe Redhawks had 12 steals in two-straight games, and as a result, ranks third in the Ohio Valley Conference with 9.5 per contest. Southeast is also third in turnover margin with a +2.75 mark. The Redhawks were ninth in the league in turnover margin a year ago.

Nino Johnson needs 29 blocks to break Southeast's all-time career record. Johnson had a single-season record 84 blocks in 2012-13. He currently has 128 in his career and ranks second behind William "Bud" Eley (156 blocks, 1995-99). Johnson was third on the team with 28 swats a year ago.
About Bowling GreenBowling Green, like Southeast, is also on a two-game winnig streak this year. BGSU beat Drake, 77-58, and Wright State, 70-55, in its two games. Spencer Parker leads all Falcon scorers with 12 points per game. Zack Denny (11.5) and Jehvon Clarke (11.0) are scoring 11 or more points per game off the bench. BGSU leads the Mid-American Conference in free throw percentage. The Falcons have made 84.4 percent (27-of-32) of their attempts. BGSU is also atop the MAC in blocked shots (18).
