Redhawks Finish Off Homestand
Southeast Missouri (11-10) closes out a three-game homestand when it steps outside of Ohio Valley Conference play to host Kansas City (7-12) Wednesday. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m., CT, at the Show Me Center.

Follow the Action
Wednesday's game will be broadcast live on the radio at ESPN 92.9 FM and Real Rock 99.3 FM. Erik Sean will call the action. Video will be available online at the OVC Digital Network. Live stats can be accessed online at GoSoutheast.com.

January is Over
Southeast plays its final non-conference game of the season when Kansas City comes to town this week. The Redhawks are 8-5 in non-league action. Wednesday marks Southeast's final game in January where the Redhawks are 3-5.

Back to the OVC
After Wednesday's contest, Southeast heads to Eastern Kentucky to begin the second half of its Ohio Valley Conference schedule. The Redhawks are currently fifth in the OVC West Division standings with an overall record of 11-10 and 3-5 in conference play. Southeast will face OVC West Division opponents in six of its final eight OVC contests.

Series History
The Redhawks own a 7-2 lead in their all-time series against Kansas City. Tyler Stone scored a game-high 28 points and knocked down the game-winning free throws with 28 seconds left to help Southeast get by Kansas City, 66-65, in the last meeting between these teams on Dec. 22, 2012. Kansas City is the third in-state NCAA Division I team the Redhawks face this season. Southeast is currently 0-2 against such teams after losing on the road at Saint Louis (Nov. 8) and Missouri State (Dec. 29).

Nine to Go
Lucas Nutt is closing in on the Redhawks all-time career assists record. Nutt, who has led the team in assists 18 times this season, needs just nine more to establish the new mark. He currently has 533 assists and is chasing Dwayne Rutherford, who compiled 541 assists from 1986-90. Nutt is the Ohio Valley Conference's active career assists leader.

One Away
A win against Kansas City Wednesday will give Dickey Nutt his 250th career victory as a head coach. Nutt is 249-274 overall in his 18th NCAA Division I season. That mark includes a 60-87 record at Southeast. Nutt has coached a total of 523 games in his career.

Bradley Doubtful for Wednesday
Jarekious Bradley is doubtful for Wednesday's game against Kansas City. Bradley, who leads Southeast and ranks 16th in the nation in scoring with 21.2 points per game, has been bothered by a sprained knee. He is the only Redhawk who has started all 21 games this season.

Halfway Through
Southeast stands at 3-5 halfway through its Ohio Valley Conference schedule. The Redhawks recently saw a two-game winning streak end with a 77-74 loss to Eastern Illinois (Jan. 25). After Wednesday's game against Kansas City, Southeast hits the road for three-straight, beginning at Eastern Kentucky Saturday. The Colonels, picked as the overall favorite in the OVC this season, are 14-7 overall and 5-3 in league play. EKU also boasts a 7-1 record at home.

Tough Loss
The Redhawks look to bounce back from their recent 77-74 loss to Eastern Illinois (Jan. 25). Down, 20-19, Southeast scored just one point in a period of 7:27. EIU took advantage of the cold spell and used a 17-1 run to take a 37-20 lead with 3:20 left in the first half. The Redhawks later managed to cut the Panthers lead to 75-72 on Jarekious Bradley's three-pointer with 16 seconds left, but that was as close as they would get. The win was EIU's first at the Show Me Center since 2009-10.

Time to Make a Run
Southeast will look to make a strong run down the stretch after dropping five of its first eight Ohio Valley Conference games. The Redhawks did just that at this time a year ago when they won six of their final eight regular-season games following an 81-72 home loss to Eastern Kentucky on Feb. 2, 2013. The Colonels also ended Southeast's season when they beat the Redhawks, 84-69, in the opening round of the OVC Tournament.

Long Range Setback
The Redhawks shot a season-low 19 percent (4-of-21) from three-point range during their latest loss to Eastern Illinois (Jan. 25). Southeast missed 15 of its first 16 threes of the game. Lucas Nutt and Jarekious Bradley each had two treys in that contest. The Redhawks are currently second in the Ohio Valley Conference with a .371 three-point field goal percentage.

Another Double-Double for Stone
Tyler Stone earned his team-high eight double-double this season when he dropped in a team-high 22 points and pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds against Eastern Illinois (Jan. 25). Stone has registered a double-double twice in his last three games since returning to the starting lineup on Jan. 18. It marked Stone's 20th career double-double, as well.

Nutt Hits Double Figures
Lucas Nutt put up double figures in the scoring column for the fourth time this season when he poured in 17 against Eastern Illinois (Jan. 25). Nutt matched a season-high six field goals and went perfect from the floor for the second time this year. He made 6-of-6 field goals and 2-of-2 threes, while dishing out five assists and collecting a steal in 30 minutes.

About Kansas City
Kansas City visits Cape Girardeau on a return trip from last season. The Kangaroos, who won two of their last three, are 7-12 overall and 4-3 in the Western Athletic Conference. Kansas City has played two teams presently ranked in the Associated Press Top-25 Poll (No. 12 Louisville; No. 20 Creighton). Three Kangaroo starters, including Martez Harrison (16.3 ppg), Nelson Kirksey (13.8 ppg) and Trinity Hall (10.8 ppg) are averaging double figures in the scoring column this year. Kansas City leads the WAC in steals, averaging 8.2 per game.
