Setting the Table
The Southeast Missouri baseball team opens a four-game road swing this week as they head to Charleston, Ill. to take on Eastern Illinois. Friday's series opener is set for 3:00 p.m. the two teams will also play 1:00 p.m. contests on Saturday and Sunday.
Redhawks Against Eastern Illinois
The Redhawks own a 29-28 record in the all-time series against Eastern Illinois. The Panthers went 3-1 against the Redhawks last season taking two of three games in Charleston on March 30 -April 1. The Panthers also took the team's meeting in the OVC Tournament 7-6.
Southeast Missouri's Last Outing
Arkansas State scored a run on a wild pitch in the top of the 12th inning as the Red Wolves outlasted Southeast Missouri 5-4 Tuesday night at Capaha Field in a contest that lasted fours and thirty-three minutes. Tuesday's contest was the Redhawks' longest game since Southeast played a four hour and fifty minute contest against Memphis on March 14, 2008.
Going Streaking
Jason Blum extended his hitting streak to 12-games on Tuesday evening against Arkansas State. The sophomore has recorded 18 hits in the stretch and has recorded six doubles and 10 RBI. Blum has hit .375 during his 12-game streak.
Walk On
The Redhawks recorded a season-high 11 walks on Tuesday night Arkansas State. The Redhawks had seven of the nine players in the batting order record at least one walk. Jason,

Clayton Evans all recorded two walks in the contest.
Preseason OVC Polls
The Southeast Missouri Baseball team was picked eighth in the Ohio Valley Conference Preseason Poll. Austin Peay, the OVC Co-Regular season and tournament champions in back-to-back seasons were picked to win the league with 14 first place votes. Southeast Missouri junior left fielder
